Also coming from a straight male secure in his sexuality: I think you're good looking. You have pretty eyes. However, you also have a really long face and I think that is what gives it whatever goofiness you think you're seeing. To make a long face look shorter you should try to grow a full beard like the poster above me said. The current facial hair style you have isn't totally working for you because you have a wide chin, and the goatee is too square for your already squarish features. So yah, I'd either grow a full beard or just try losing all facial hair and going for the clean cut look.

Talk to a (really) professional hair stylist... they should have some better advice for you.
