Have you noticed the financial crisis?
How's drug prices been going in your area? I remember when living in Vancouver, it was 25$ for an eigth but it went up to 30$, I'm interested to know if its gone back down to 25$ again.
Here in Norway I haven't bought any in a while, but it is generally around 20$ a gram, but we haven't really been hit by the financial crisis yet, so I'm curious to see how it'll turn out. In some cases its as high as 30$ a gram, I hope to see no more of that.

Re: Have you noticed the financial crisis?
Why would the financial crisis effect weed prices? The price of capital consists of a pots, dirt and seeds. I wouldn't pay more than $20 for an eighth of mids. Ever.

You seem rather stupid. Supply and demand my friend. If people loose their jobs, they'll get less money. Thus less money in circulation. Thus the pot dealers will have to decrease their prices in order to sell.
In BC what Americans define as "mids" doesn't exist (or its given away or sold at a dollar a gram) :P . Here in Norway most stuff is crap, unless you get the uncut Moraccan hash. Very rare indeed.

Re: Have you noticed the financial crisis?
I don't think the financial crisis will really affect supply and demand of weed excessively. I mean how much has alcohol sales dropped since the crisis began. These are somewhat luxury items, but not truly. People wanna smoke weed whether they got money or not. And the crisis isn't so bad that no one has any money.

There is so much more shit to pay for when growing. Unless you are doing some shitty outdoor grow, that is. You have no idea what you're talking about.

...
People don't stop buying liquor because they're making a little less money my friend...
Vices, including drugs, will be the last thing people give up.

I said mids, smartass. And no when you live in Florida, outdoor grow ops turn out rather decent. You may continue with your assumptions.
That is all.

I loled^.
And you don't have to live in florida for commercial outdoor to be hardcore shit, anywhere with a decent climate is good. And in general one can't draw assumptions because the price for an 8th went up 5 bucks...

Re: Have you noticed the financial crisis?
It was 2 years before the '29 crash started affecting the people. We're just saving now but we'll be paying for it later. There will be little difference in drug prices as use will invariably go down because of less money to go around and will invariably go up because that's just what happens in dark times. Liquor is doing amazingly these days.

Re: Have you noticed the financial crisis?
drugs and alcohol always take off when we hit a recession man, as does the strength of organized crime. when times are good people get high to live it up, when times are bad people get high to forget their problems. and as a side note, then next decade or so is going to be a beautiful time to pursue a career in crime on a RICO level man. Policeman don't make shit and their going to become more and more susceptible to corruption, and the country is going to be less and less inclined to throw money away on stopping drugs from crossing our borders. of course nobody on totse will actually succeed in this but its a reality that alot of motherfuckers are gonna make some good money in the drug trade in the next 10 years or so, I'm fuckin jealous.

I have an idea of what the standard totse user is in real life, and i hate to tell you its not generally a shady mastermind of a criminal empire. just cause a few niggers here sell or cook drugs doesn't mean they're as large scale as I'm talking. this is totse man, I think you have no idea what goes on on totse

And you do have idea what goes on here? Because everything YOU see on the surface is the ultimate truth?
Assuming that these "large scale shady masterminds" were totse members for whatever reasons, you really think that they would they be posting on an open forum about their "large scale shady criminal empire" deeds?
Just like in real life, here on totse among 1000s of pawn players and small game wannabes you might find a few intelligent members that do posses quite some potential to build very profitable "criminal empire" if you got them to work together for you. This is an open, public forum, so nothing incriminating will be said by these few people who care about their own security. I know, I am just as mad as you at the wannabe-OGs that endlessly post here about their insignificant life trying to impress someone online, but that should not stop you from building bridges with people here (or anywhere else) who do show signs of intellect and are valuable to you as possible business partners in future.

Re: Have you noticed the financial crisis?
A lot more people seem to be asking for £25 on the 8th round here but I still refuse to pay that.
Other than that Iv noticed very little difference in drug prices. However I'm currently jobless and dont have the money to buy drugs...

Re: Have you noticed the financial crisis?

Neither do I, and I'm sure you don't either. So, maybe we both know a little something, and the two of us would seriously know what's what if we came across something in the real world, but this is the internet, and the smart guys are keeping their mouths shut.
There are people different only insofar that some recognize stuff might be going on, but people keep it to themselves. Others don't believe the totsean population, 12y/o and living in the suburbs, is capable of any serious criminal activity. I guess they are correct in regards to most totseans.
Now me, I don't dibble in drugs. I don't make 'em, don't sell them, heck I don't even use them anymore ... but I still know all about them, and I know that if somebody got his shit together, he could easely become a big player. Some stuff is just easy to make with a small investment ... pot and mushrooms can be grown by anybody in an urban environment capable of following simple instructions. Chloral hydrate and ether are some ridiculously simple drugs to cook up, IF you know how to follow simple safety instructions.
Maybe with the current recession, we'll actually see more people turning to cottage industry drug production to supplement their income as their hours are cut.
