Don't feel too bad. I didn't have my first kiss til I was 18, and I was a virgin til 22. If you're not ready, you shouldn't rush it. I was painfully shy when I was in high school, and I had been working at a ski resort over the winter. I had been skiing with this girl I knew (I got to ski for free), and we would talk during the whole lift ride up. It got to where I enjoyed the lift ride more than the skiing. We would hold hands and I would put my arm around her sometimes but we still hadn't actually kissed. Later, she came to visit me and we took a walk in my parents' woods. We were holding hands, and then she got snow in her boot, so I steadied her as she emptied it out. Then she got her boot back on and I still had my arms around her and neither of us wanted to break our embrace. And then I finally kissed her. We stood there making out for what seemed like hours. Then we walked back and stopped to sit down in an outbuilding, and kissed some more. For the next two days I was in a daze. I also learned what blue balls were that day, but overall I have very fond memories of that day. The anticipation and waiting made it even better when it finally did happen.
