cautious science-y post
I hear a lot of talk being thrown around this forum of exactly what certain drugs do on the chemical level inside your brain//overall body system.
I would just like to know where to look to find all this. Im a psych major and this is the shit that isnt taught until 3rd year grad school or med internships...

Re: cautious science-y post
What you need to look at is pharmacology books. There's a bunch posted that you can download from rapidshare, etc in the "rare books" thread in LT.

Half those links are dead now, I need to redo that thread, but there IS some great shit in there regardless.

Re: cautious science-y post
Pubmed.gov ---> Search "--insert drug here-- activity receptor sites" and just start skimming the abstracts of the 1,592,374,828,478,234 links that show up. The reason there are semi-literate (and fully literate, I suppose) druggies is that occasionally (and I can't stress this enough, most druggies are dumb as shit and ignorant as fuck) one realizes the power of knowledge and gets up the gumption to do some reading.
Knowledge is Win.
