Well, &T, I ask you this because the other night I had my first taste of weed, smoking it obviously, but I didn't really feel anything. I had this girl over and we both took a shot of whiskey and a shot of some kind of rum before we smoked. I'm thinking it could have been a mix of the rum and whiskey that kind of canceled out the effect of the weed, but I don't know. It was good weed and I did about 6 hits off of it and hardly felt anything. Is this normal? Also, what was your guys' first experience with weed like?

a lot of people dont get high the first time. it took me like 20 times (occasions, not hits) before i got high. and make sure youre actually inhaling

First few times I pussyfooted around with it, not inhaling too much and taking bitch hits.
The first REAL time I got high was with my friend Jesus (fat wetback friend) at his house while his mom was at work.

He rolled this joint the size of your thumb (I was used to smoking "pinners" or toothpick sized joints at the time).
As I remember, it was some good shit. I remember nodding in and out on his couch, with him telling me to wake up and laughing his ass off (he was already a pot head). I remember everything I saw had this neon red glow around it.

After about 1 to 1 1/2 hours of this, we ate some leftover rice and meat he had in his fridge, played some Sega Genesis, and when his mom came home from work, I was sober enough to go home myself. I was what, 15?

First time I smoked weed I was 11 and my best mates brother passed it to me, I didn’t even know it was weed and just thought it was a funny tasting rollup. I didn’t get high so I didn’t think much of it at the time.

The first time I smoked properly was about 6 months later with the same friend smoking bongs. I still remember that first time lying on his bed in the pitch dark watching the glowing stars on his ceiling rotate, giggling away and feeling absolutely awesome. Opened a bit of a Pandora’s box for me that night!

The first time I smoked weed, I got high. Smoked some more and got stoned.

99% pf the time when a newbie doesnt get high its because they didnt inhale. Next time inhale the weed deep into your lungs.

do you smoke cigs? you need to inhale deeper for weed than you do cigs. basically smoke the weed, then once you take the pipe/joint/bong/chillum/lung/bubbler/waterfall/blunt/vape off your lips immediately inhale some air. This will force the bitch mouth hit you took into your lungs.

As you get more comfortable with smoking you wont quite need to do this every time. But when youre starting out use this method to make sure you get it all in there.

This is good advice. I usually advise a "half and half" system with first-timers -- half smoke, half air

First 2 times I smoked weed I had a panic attack both times :) I smoked like 5-6 years later and have loved it since :D

Mixing alcohol with weed just makes me feel more drunk. And the first time I got smoked, I only got a lil high, but I enjoyed it.

first time i got high but i was in denial that i was high so i went into a 7-11 and made a fool out of myself. That's when I realized I was high.

At first I was just giggling and shit trying to figure out why no matter how hard I tried I couldn't stop smiling. After that, I spent most of the time examining everything I did and being paranoid that it all made me look obviously high. I'm talking thoughts like "Where did I put that shit? .....Oh see, now I'm forgetting shit! LOL!"

It took me a while to just enjoy being high and stop paying attention my symptoms.

I never got high the first few times I smoked. I smoked bowls of mids the first couple times but never actually got high until the night a friend and I packed a hookah full of some dank skunk (first time smoking nugget). Since then I don't think I've ever been as high as I was that night.

I was the kind of person who always thought weed wouldnt be that great... due to people always downplaying its effects. I had done LSD, mushrooms and a few RC's before I ever tried smoking... and when I finally did It was awesome... feeling deeper connections with music, friends around you... seeing things from a new perspective... enhanced creativity. It was nothing like I expected and nothing like I was lead to believe...

Yeah, I inhaled, I know I did. Lungs felt like they were on fire. I was talking to a friend today about it and she said that I was a heavyweight too; that I need to do more hits. So, thanks to all who helped in this thread. :)

I've only smoked a couple of times, and I have always inhaled as deep as I can. The first time I smoked when me and 4 friends split an eighth, about a bowl each. I was pretty good I guess, we hotboxed this kid's car, and when I got out the ground was spinning a little bit, but I was able to keep my composure. Then we watched some garage bands from our school play, in, well, a garage. It kicked ass.

This thread reminds me that I need to get some more green tomorrow. Early release from school, fuck yeah.
