i've seen my friend do this right in front of me at a longs drug store once
however he doesnt use drugs and it really was for his grandma, she gave him an empty bag and he just ask for a box of these kind.

ive lost all my connects for rigs now. and i figured fuck it ill just try and buy them like ive heard people do, and seen him do it.

i live in california and ive heard that theres no prescription law for purchasing insulin needles.

and if so what would be the proper way to ask?
how much would they cost?

thanks in advance.

Not from experience mind you, just ask for the exact needles you want like you've done it a million times (like it's more of a chore than anything). If possible buy a few other items you need at the same time. "29 guage shorts please..." Maybe be on the phone while you ask?

I can just walk into my local drugstore and ask for the 10cc insulin syringes, they never ask or say a thing.

My mom used to be a diabetic (she past away) and I used to go and get all her insulin and needles for her at the local pharmacies.

I remember I used to have to show a script for the insulin, but there was a few times when she just needed the needles alone. I would just ask for the rigs and they would give them to me, no questions asked. I didn't know anybody there either (well maybe someone remembered me from the last time, but I used to go to 2 or 3 different places and I never established a friendship with any of the pharm techs). They would throw a bag of needles into a white paper bag, charge me, and I would be on my way.

This was just my experience.
Wait for the true Totse dopers to give you the low-down.

Peace.

As long as you know what kind of rigs you need you shouldn't have any problems. If they ask what kind of insulin you use say humulin 70/30.

As far as i've heard needles can't be got w/o a RX in CA, unless you find a stupid or dirty (well one who doesn't give a shit) pharm tech...

If your hard up, goto some Co-Ops (aka Farm Supply Stores), or Vet offices, and try to buy the premixed "Puppy Shots", i've even heard of some carrying spare empty rigs, big ass gauges I bet tho...

1. Dress respectively.
2. Walk up to pharmacy counter.
3. "May I please have 1cc 31gauge short needle insulin syringes?" Change the phrasing to whatever gauge/size you want.
4. If they question why or ask if you have a prescription say that they are for your grandmother who is homebound. You usually order them off the internet but you need some while your waiting for the order to come in. She also does not use this pharmacy.
5. Proceed to check-out. 10 needles costs less than $3.

first off, playing the part helps. so the dress is ridiculous. they usually never ask you why you need them. second off don't ask for 31gauge, 30's the smallest you should go, typically go for 28. do get a bag of 10 or 100. alot of places don't give out singles anymore. those that still do though shouldn't hassle you in any way shape or form...

walk up with your arms covered if you have track marks and look confused, or act like you are getting off the phone as you walk up. act like you had your mom on the phone and act like she is giving you the specifics of what she needs.. tahts what i used to do when i was paranoid and before i realized that they don't give a fuck.

anyways what you want to ask for is
29/30 Gauge 1cc (or .3/.5 whatever floats your boat) Insulin syringes, ultra fine with (short/long) tip.

The caps are better for mixing and they stay on better, the orange cap is tapered so you can just scrape that tar off with out losing any of it. But other than that they just look cool lol, you will see if you get some.
