Default Looking for this war movie:

Greetings dear fellow totseans,

I'm looking for a war movie but can't get the title. Here's the description:

Its a japanese war movie from the 60's/70's. Its about a soldier (japanese) who's returning from the front to home. He has to traverse this journey on foot.

Its a very long movie (maybe ~8 hours) Mini Serial perhaps?

My father only knew one possible title "Barefoot through hell" but this has yielded nothing.

Anyone know this one? Thank you...

Found it, sorry.

Jap. Title: Ningen no Joken
Eng. Title: The Human Condition

I only had the german title which yielded 0 results. But I found it.

Okay, but speaking of war movies, there are heaps about american POWs in German camps, but the only one I've seen the other way around is The McKenzie Break. Know any others?

The Great Escape.

Which is a movie about American prisoners in a german POW camp. Exactly the opposite of what that dude was asking for.

Regardless, it is a fucking BOSS movie. Steve McQueen is the man.

Thread reminded me of this movie:

I laughed my ass so hard the time I saw it because I was drunk and the fights/deaths are just to violent and cheesy.
