Art and Design If you like it, is it Art? What is the difference between a good design, a bad design and bad taste? Does form follow function? If something works, does it matter what it looks like?

dyslexic people aren't stupid.....

But whatever. Get some books on how to draw, take classes, and draw EVERYTHING.

Dude...really??? I've seen your posts...Trust me, there are people on here that put you and I combined to shame. I guess it just bothers me when people proclaim their own intelligence to the public. Its usually an indication of delusions of grandeur :P

Depends how you define smart.

Intelligence is the most fundamental aspect of "smart" but its not the only aspect.

Im not saying im the best; just really fucking good.

being smart is NOT an objective thing though; so we could be egotistical and semantic all day.

I was born dyslexic... but fortunate to be able to draw really cool, with a great imagination. If you sit at your computer - use what you have available, your paint program. Become skilled in using that pencil directed with your mouse - it's not easy, but you also don't have to "draw" conventional... you can be surreal ~ I am left handed, I never did relocate my mouse to the left side of my computer... a few years ago, I was sacked with a crashed computer... I spent many days using my paint program... switching the hands, switches the brain als!! Left handers are right brained - *shrug* no this is not all about me - it is actual scientific facts... I had made some really cool pics in paint... then a "geek" friend of mine was trying to get my computer up and running - he deleted all my paint projects...... have fun, be real ~ stay cool!

HAY! Born ~~ yes it is a bit-0-mastery...especially if you are left handed and deceided to live with a right click mouse world!?

What I have learned about myself in the past 15 years is that changing up my right hand to think with... (figure it out - not u Born) has honestly caused me to become greater at many things - I suppose in general ~ but then when I do get deep into my paint pics - I have to honestly sit on my left hand, because my arm starts moving... wow... ... sounds lika horror movie, huh!

I like this site alot, need to learn to manipulate it more often!!

Honestly I wish I had kicked that guy in the balls for doing that, 3 years later (no he was never a "boyfriend", but he played me horribly...*shrug* the stitch witchery side of me will find his tempest, he'll be whacked... )

You guys stay cool ~ I have a myspace with this same handle...

Onward

A nexus of knowlege. A thousand years of wisdom, scorched into my mind.

I can draw now.

Dude, if you try hard enough, and practise, practise, PRACTISE, you eventually will be able to.

I have condition similar to yours (Dyspraxia). If you have a look at my recent thread:
http://www.totse.com/community/showt...1#post10906001

Maybe it's not perfect - but you'd understand that to even get to that level is "unthinkable"... but really, all you have to do is have enough willpower to overcome obsticles. Find strategies. If you screw up, do it again, until you get it right.

Peace
-Jamie
