Question Gold fish loosing it's gold

Ok
I have a couple goldfish living with my turtle who were originally feeder fish but my turtle never could catch and now just chill with my turtle.
One fish who happen to be the biggest (~4')seems to be loosing it's gold color.
I alway put in the water conditioner and feed Him/her pellets everyday.

What could possibly be going on?
Is my fish just getting old?

Google says this is common, but you can get special fish food to enhance the brighter color if you like.

I think it happens to most goldfish. All the goldfish that I've had for any length of time all ended up turning white. I think it may have something to do with lighting, but I'm not completely sure.

Either way, your fish is fine. The change is purely aesthetic.
