As soon as we acknowledge that we're giving kids with ADHD/ADD an unfair advantage by giving them legal stimulants (which are not designed to treat anything, they're just stimulants, they would have just as well used methcathinone if it wasn't for its lack of inhibitory effects) then we can acknowledge that we're just holding the average kids down by not giving them legal stimulants. There is no cure for ADD/HD, amphetamines can only help with the symptoms (and even then not always, PBS did a great documentary on this titled "Medicating Kids" (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/medicating/watch/) where not all users saw improvements). Until they find a solution that treats only the effects of ADD/HD itself and doesn't cause stimulus in nearly all users, regardless of condition, there is no ethical problem with using a medication that is inherently intellectually promoting.

When I first read about Modafinil, I wondered why we haven't made it available to all of country already. It's not addictive, it improves mood, mental performance, and possibly physical performance. It's not even nuerotoxic, it's neuroprotective. People deserve access to a drug that can safely improve so many functions of the body.

However, I don't think we should start handing Adderall out to the entire population. Seems like that has potential to cause problems.

Its just a way to drug us all. Some of those ADD/ADHD meds change your behavior, and they mess with your diet.
