Iv found using drugs to try and forget or escape reality is one of the quickest ways to get yourself mentally addicted and on your way to physical addiction.
If only it was as easy as popping a few pills to block out your bad memories but it never lasts for ever and you will get to the point where it you will just need more and more to achieve that state of oblivious blissfullness.
Im in the same boat, there are huge parts of my past life that are constantly fucking up the present. I wish I could block out and forget past memories and feelings but one thing iv learned is that drugs just dont work for that. Eventually it will come back round, bite you on the arse and make things worse than ever.

Of course if its short term memories that you want to block out there is always benzos but that only really works for the time you are actually on them!

Yeah I would say any benzodiapine, but those may not be accessable to you so I would also recommend DXM, with a high dose you'll forget you're name, you're age, you're existence. I've never forgotten more then while on DXM. And you can't get any easier than the supermarket.
