Recently watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall for the first time. I noticed something: It was only almost a chick flick. Dont get me wrong, it was no Superbad, but it actually held up in the man department. It had its chick-flick moments, but overall it was a pretty solid movie. Judd Apatow did a great job of creating the first hybrid between guy movies and girl movies. In essence, the perfect date movie. I was wondering if anyone knew about any other movies like this.

Naaa. It has some great guy humour in it.

I almost don't feel right about doing this, but...that's one of the few chick movies I can actually sit through. Maybe because it's just because I can't see Heath Ledger without seeing the Joker anymore.

But yeah, Forgetting Sarah Marshall is the perfect date movie, and is quite literally funny no matter who the fuck you are.

PS: I recommend reading the book. I read it AFTER i watched the movie and the book is just awesome. Goes into more back stories of some of the characters.

True Romance is the single best date movie out there. Hands down.

That movie has gotten me laid 3 times. The rest of the times I actually had to work, and be charming. It seems like that movie just magically makes panties just levitate off.

My roommate insisted I watch Forgetting Sarah Marshall with her this week and I didn't really enjoy it. I didn't think it was all that funny but I guess it could be a decent compromise for a date movie. Maybe. No, not really.

Fuck 50 first dates, that movie is like tonguing bubbas fetid sweaty gooch.

It's not a magical list of chick flicks, but here are a few (there are some pretty bearable chick flicks, but I can't think of them right now) decent flicks anyway:

10 things I hate about you (good suggestion), Wedding Crashers, Kiss Kiss (Bang Bang) - the one with Stellen Skarsgard, Freddy Got Fingered, Cruel Intentions movies, Shawshank Redemption, shit from the 80's like Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Flashdance and that one with Tom Cruise running a brothel out of his parents house, and even Brick if she's cool. If she doesn't like it, punch her in the face. Go for the nose. That'll make her tear up.

Because you sure as shit don't want to have to sit through something like Princess Diaries. Anne Hathaway is fucking gross.
