In order to be offered a gift, you have to show up at the Christmas tree, you have to go to your grandmother's house; otherwise you will not be offered a gift. If you accept a gift awarded to you on Christmas, you are celebrating CHRISTmas, a Christian holiday. It is a CHRISTian holiday, and it always will be. You cannot bend the rules and redefine it as a secular or nondenominational holiday, and if anyone makes an attempt to do so in my thread I will lash you so severely that you offer your account up for gives. I agree with those who lean more towards the giving rather than celebrating a certain religion side of things. If you're an atheist, but you've been brought up by christians, you kinda feel inclined to participate in the whole family tradition thing. I celebrate christmas as a time of giving and sharing happiness with my family, but i don't believe in jesus.

I would much rather be bombarded with materials rather than use my brain as well as have some integrity because that isn't what life is about. If you're an atheist, but you've been brought up by Christians, you're usually too much of a pussy to tell them you're an atheist, and more often it's really just a stunt for attention. I really like Christmas because I am a spoiled American brat who has to attain electronic goods to comfort myself over my worthless existence, and getting together for the Lord Almighty with my family is a good feeling, but I don't do it for the Lord.
