I believe strongly that 'we' (as a collective) will only know where we are heading if we find out where we have been...and you have hawaii shirts to prove it.

When I was 14, I still secretly played with dolls. I got married when I was 17, though and now at 28 I look back at photos and think, "Look at me! I was just a kid!!" We looked so young...I have this picture of my husband and I standing outside our first house on Fort Ord just a few weeks after we got married. I was only 10 years older than my daughter is now...That thought is pretty freaky.

This generation badly needs input from people who grew up in a time when 'pot' was what your Mom cooked in and 'gay' was an emotional state.

Also it's good to be reminded how far we have come. Hell we'd have killed for the Morning After Pill when I was a teen and buying a packet of condoms was not only a rite of passage but also damn near fucking impossible in a small town cos your mum's friends worked at the only chemist in town.
