My "image" at school is...well....kind stained (i used to be fat and not very attractive....now i get the occasional friendly comment on my appearence...but still nothing important)

so...umm.. S&A, i was wondering if anyone knew some great places to meet new people. I live in a semi-remote area so it's not as though i can walk down the street to some public area and meet someone.
