First build problems (probably the graphics card)
I'm having some problems with a build I'm doing. It seems everything is working, power is on, I can turn it on.. Led's light up, harddrive whirs, and the cpu fan is on.
However my moniter acts like theres nothing hooked to it. It's just blank, like when you turn off your computer, the green light turns orange, etc. It works cause I hooked it into another computer
My video card has a red light in the back of it which i figured it meant something is wrong. Since I am building 2 of these.. I thought.. well Maybe its DOA, its fan works too it spins but thats about it.
So i replaced that video card with the others video card.. Same problem. So I ruled out that they both are DOA since that chance would be pretty low. So Then I thought... well maybe the Motherboard is dead then.. So I built the other computer.. Same problem.. red light.. everything else works, no moniter.
So, I'm stumped.
CASE RAIDMAX|ATX-528BP BL 380W
GPU VGA DIAMOND 4850PE3512V HD4850 512M
MEM OCZ 2x2G OCZ2F10664GK Rail
MB BIOSTAR TFORCE TP43D2A7 775 P43
CPU INTEL|C2D E7200 2.53G 775 45N
HD 500G|HITC 7K 16M HDP725050GLA360
CASE FAN APEVIA|CF8S-UBL
PSU RAIDMAX | HYBRID2 RX-630SS 630W
DVD BURN LITE-ON|iHAS120-04 20X %
Other considerations was that it might be that It's not getting enough juice.. But my friend suggest this PSU and his stuff is over the top. Overclocked ETC,
Since this Is my first build, I might have over looked something. Back when I learned how to make computers We didn't have these fancy SATA stuff... And GPU's didnt need a power cord attached. By the way I'm very sleepy so some of the above may not be written well..
Any help would be super awesome.
I'm going to guess that I probably overlooked something silly.

I plan on trying a different moniter, and another forum suggested that the BIOS may need to be upgraded for my GPU. So I'm off to salvage the GPU from an old computer way back.

Tried 1 stick of ram.
Tried without Hdd OR DVD
Tried WITH ANOTHER VIDEO CARD and still the blank screen of death.
The motherboard should be fine? The CPU Heatsink is running, which is hooked to the mobo.

Re: First build problems (probably the graphics card)
My friend had a problem like this, everything would come on, fans, lights, etc...
But nothing came on the monitor.
I looked at it, and he forgot to plug in the second CPU power plug (That 4-pin one with the two black/two yellow wires).

Re: First build problems (probably the graphics card)
I personally suspect the motherboard.
I don't know the beep codes for that board, but are you getting the common single beep during early start-up?
Or is the board silent?
Also, you probably have , but always check the support and FAQs at the Mobo's home site.

Re: First build problems (probably the graphics card)
I suspect the motherboard too.. But I don't hear any sounds. I think it's cause I have no idea if I hooked any of those little wires up correctly.
And The first time I tried to get it to work, I also didn't plus in the 4 pin, after doing so I hoped it would work.. but it didn't.

Start Calling/RMAing the manufacturer/newegg.
I would send the video card, motherboard and probably the processor back.

"I think it's cause I have no idea if I hooked any of those little wires up correctly."
that could be a problem.
It sounds like your main header may be miss-wired.
Maybe you should take a pic of that area on the board with your wires in place.
Plus a pic of the pinout from the manual.
Or a pic of the header with all wires removed, so we can see the letters on the Mobo.
You may only be off a pin or so with your connectors.
