I've got the blues.
So far my year has been nothing but bad news and downfall. I'm in more debt then I can count. Plus I'm not doing oh so well in school. Due to my lack of fund, I didn't achieve any of my goals. That I've made for 2008. Which were to get a car maybe a Gf. But all came to an utter failure. It seems I've hit rock bottom. This is the first time I've ever been depress. I have no where to go but the places I've been. I can't go back, because I left for tomorrow. "sigh" Sad
With a few weeks left of 08, I feel their is no hope for this year's goal. What am I to do now. I work enough to pay the month bills other than that I'm broke as the word.
Any advice?.....

For the depression, I once went through a phase where I was really depressed for a couple months, probably should have sought help. I just abused xanax for awhile and eventually realized people got sick of hearing me bitch, so I stopped feeling sorry for myself and grew up.
For your financial burden... I know it doesn't help to be broke on top of being depressed, but ya just gotta deal with it. I'm in college and broke as all hell too. I was lucky enough to be able to find a job that I can walk or take a bus to, and all of my money goes to bills. I'm newly 21, and while all of my other college buddies are out at bars, I stay in because I can't afford it. I eat pasta on a daily basis, and when I'm at work rely on the $1 menu fast food. Every college has its rich snobs, but realize that 99% of people are in the exact same boat as you are.

Don't worry, there is always a way to make a living. No matter what. Shit wont come easy, so suck it up tight, pull your socks up, lie cheat and steal to get the debt out of the way. Live cheap, and keep your eye on the ball while your sleeping. Once you have money again, the women will come like flies on shit.

This, people wont say much at the beginning to you, but eventually you will start to notice your a buzz killington, and no one will want to be around you. Put a smile on, when you pretend to be happy you actually forget about being sad. It really does work.
About the money, i was broke ass in college too, eating mr noodles and pasta for an entire year. I couldnt afford a fast food made lunch. seriously.
Takes time.
edit: i too went through my first depression my first year of college. combination of stress/overwhelmed from the courses, being poor, and being alone.

Thanks for advices,
I'm now on the poor man's diet. I will enter couple of art base competitions to see if I can win some cash. I now know the hard way, women can smell the brokenness from a guy. That's life I guess. Bitching and moaning hasn't help me so far, so fuck it.

Make more money man. Find some alternative incomes and rake in some cash to get you out of the hole you're in financially. Once your finances are in order you can move on to bigger and better things. |
