so basically this thread is for clues how to tell if a source is legit or not. now I don't want anybody to post sources, as that is against site rules, and nobody needs to get banned. but, from your experiences, what have you noticed about fake sites that can help clue you in on whether it is legit or not?

for example: spelling errors, calling a product a similar name but not exactly the same, misspelling a url and having it redirect you to a different fake site, ect...

I don't want this thread to go off topic and become chock full of bullshit and flames, so...

to the mods: would posting a site that we know is a scam be against site rules?

things I have noticed about fakes? those were the examples.

and as far as I know, undrug is run by people looking to farm sources, so, unless someone proves me wrong, it would be appreciated if nobody used this/similar sites (even though it is in the sticky) as evidence for/against sites, seeing as we're not talking about specific sites, just sites in general.

It's a vendor search site where you search your vendor and a thread will come up with member responses as to whether or not it's legit. It doesn't provide vendor names to anyone.

Google "rcsite.netorwhatever.com scam" if it returns valid hits its a no go.
