Default Stupid question about wiring resistors...

Is there anything stopping me from wiring several resistors in series to get my target resistance over just getting the equivalent resistor? I'm wondering because i have a bunch of random resistors but no single resistor with the resistance I need and I would rather not buy a 50 pack of the same resistors I would unlikely need again (and no, electronic stores near me do not have that resistor I need either).

As long as you don't exceed the power rating of the lowest rated resistor, you will be ok.
