Needle recommendations for H
I'm ordering some needles for a friend (using H) and I'm wondering what is a good size for delivery. He likes bigger gauges but I think I'll be getting him something smaller like 29-31. What I don't understand is the 1/2 inch - 12 inch difference, does that mean the size of the entire needle or just the poker part?

Re: Needle recommendations for H
don't wanna hijack this thread, but it would be a stupid idea to inject something with a 16gauge 1 1/2inch needle, right? or would it be possible with serious bruising?

You sir are a strange poster. I've seen good posts from you, amazingly good, and I've also seen some dumb shit. Overall though, it's a good thing, you have potential. You'll get the hang of this hell hole.
And as for your question, the larger bore needles are used for IM, and even larger for drawing blood. With intravenous injection, you want a short, thin needle.

Gauges that big are generally used for giving subcutaneous fluids, it's like a fucking Caprisan straw! A 16 gauge would be bigger than a lot of veins one would shoot into.

Re: Needle recommendations for H
I'm thinking that 25g and up would be fine, 20g tops to draw something out of a vial. I don't know why anybody would need a needle bigger than that.

Re: Needle recommendations for H
I tried ordering off a diabetic wholesale website and they refused to sell me any needles because in my state they require a prescription for them.
Sooo, I gotta watch my friend shoot up with a huge fucking needle. Anyways, this may be a stupid question, but my friend insists on shooting into his wrist, is this a good idea? I've been telling him its a stupid fucking thing to do, I'm trying to school him on harm reduction but he refuses to listen.
I think there was an Australian website with alot of safe injection techniques does anyone got a link?

get em to go to the arms, theres like 5 veins each arm, plenty to rotate..
