Unfortunately, I am one of the sad many who live in California and cannot purchase psilocybe spores. However, as far as I can tell, the law only prohibits the sale and transportation of said spores over state lines. Spores given as a gift within the state are legal to possess, as long as they're not to be cultivated.

So, would any Californians be willing to help me out by sending me a spore print of a psilocybe mushroom? Or, are any other Totseans having the same problem and also want some help finding spores?

First of all, they're not to be found year-round. Second, seeing as I have zero training in taxonomy of fungi, I wouldn't trust myself to avoid the bad mushrooms and pick only the good ones.

Maybe I'll look into it though.

The point was that if somebody were to send me one, it wouldn't be illegal...

However, I thought it would be a long shot anyway. I'll probably end up having to go hunting myself. I was just wondering if there were any generous souls who were sympathetic to my cause.

just buy some from a dealer and start from there...

it is hard, apparently, because of contams, but it can be done.

i use my grandmas house and use a bogus name. my gma always has my back. the likly hood of your state going all ape shit would be pretty slim try aquiring them with a prepaid visa ( have friend buy it) then mail it to some one u kno/ trust that would deny any knowlege of anything.

well then, you could have it shipped outside of CA and go pick it up...

or go hunting and take a spore print...

and you really can't find any in the Bay Area? seems like they would be overflowing, but then again, never really spent much time there, so..

as my grow is about ready to harvest, all I can say is that I'm lucky they're not banned here:).

If this is your intention you shouldn't be talking about it on TOTSE nor attempting to formulate partnerships for such here.

i remember back when i was looking into this, i found some place that if you mailed them a dollar they would mail a print to you, it was by donation(dollar to cover mailing cost) or some shit and they had a bunch of these "banks" in different locations usually run by the local hippy or some shit. They also took in spore prints by donation as well to send to other people. It was all about getting cheap spores for everyone to grow. but i cant find it anymore

As I read it, giving, selling, or otherwise distributing spores, even within the state lines, is still illegal.
