Having trouble meeting new people
I'm basically having a whinge and asking for some ideas as to where to meet new people.
Thing is, I live in a small district surrounded by smaller districts and a few larger ones. I don't mean this in the way of talking myself up but I'm pretty well known and not for bad reasons, most people have heard of me/seen me around and know me before they have even met me and pretty much formed an opinion of me without actually getting to know me themselves...which sucks.
So what are my options? I got to the local pubs and clubs most weekends - Should I look to go on nights like Thursday? Or get away from that scene and into something else (I have no ideas on what though...that's how boring this place is).
Uh yeah any advice or stories... whatever

If you're already well known it sounds like you've got what you need.

Makeover!
Bleach your hair, get numerous luminous plastic facial piercings, wear tight clothes and talk like a pre-adolescent Australian girl.
All opinions will be out the window as people drive past you, pointing and laughing.

Re: Having trouble meeting new people
Go somewhere new, if you keep fishing in the same pond then you'll only see the same kinds of fish.
Who are you trying to meet and what are you trying to hide(from)?
Who says to go out on weekends only anyway. As long as you are single you can go out any night of the week.

Re: Having trouble meeting new people
How were you acting for people to form opinions of you in the first place?
Use them knowing you as a way to talk to them and change their minds by not acting like a douche. Hang out with the people you talk to and meet people through them. Join a club or meet people through a hobby group of yours.
