It was labeled as a bronchialdialator used for the relief of severe chest congestion. I looked at the side effects and it said "nervousness, insomnia, decreased appetite.

I am wondering if this is the same type of ephedrine that was taken off the market when it was to be used for weigh tloss or energy. If this is the case then this is the only time I have ever been able to find ephedra in any store.

Yes it is the same. However, it was taken off the market as Ephedrine and Pseudoephedrine are primary ingredients in Meth.
It is now regulated and you must be 21 two buy it; with a limited amount allowed per season, per household number.

In Nevada the age limit is 21; however, the regulation of both are controlled by the FDA so I believe that would go nation wide.

Read up on abusing straight Ephedrine HLC on Erowid, if you don't already know your stuff. I am pretty sure it is not wise to try and use Pseudoephedrine recreationally as an upper, but I'm not sure on Ephedrine. Do your homework and maybe post back?

ephedrine will keep you up, it's especially good with caffeine, try maybe 50 mg of ephedrine and 200 mg of caffeine or just a cup or two of strong black coffee.

I am going to give it a try as soon as I get out to the store. I am pretty sure that pseudoephedrine is useless if taken for energy/amp like effects. I have never heard of it being used as an athletic/weight loss supplement the way ephedrine has been. I will give it a try and post results if it is any good. I know it won't hold shit against adderall, however, if anyone has a large caffeine tolerance it may be a good alternative/combination.

On a side note, I recently tried the much talked about 1, 3-Dimethylamylamine and was not impressed. There are definite speedy qualities to it when combined with caffeine, but I would not say it is very effective at all.

I may also try the ephedrine with the 1, 3-Dimethylamylamine and caffeine, in small amounts to start with and see how it works out.

I dunno if it's state law, federal law, or company policy, but at the gas station I work at we're not allowed to sell people more than 2 boxes of cold medicine (pseudoephedrine and guifensen) a day and no more than 18 a month. The minimum age to buy it is 18.

Also, some of you are probably buying Phenyleprine(which is presently marketed as Sudafed). Phenyleprine is just an expensive rip off that is sold as modern sudafed and doesn't work. So yeah. No meth. And guess what else, no sinus relief either.

This has nothing to do with what I wrote, I specifically wrote that I in fact was an asthmatic and that the bronco dilators in my area were epinephrine. Apparently ephedrine is also available in pill form for asthma treatment over the counter as well.
