Default Being a Vegitarian

How would one go about it? Would I lose gains in muscle mass? What are ways to not lose any vitamins going from carnivore to vegitarian? Any help appreciated.

Being that you're vegetarian, suppose you can still eat cheese and drink milk?
Snack on nuts and some protein supplements?
Otherwise you probably are going to loose alot of muscle.

I don't plan to be vegan. One step at a time here. So dairy products are still in my diet, no problem there. I have whey protein that I take regularly anyway, and I plan on having peanut butter often. Is anyone in RY a vegitarian or vegan that could give me some advice?

Amount of protein per ounce of nuts = 2.6g

Minimum protein required to maintain significant muscle mass = 130g for a 165ibs male

130 divided by 2.6 = 50

50oz = 3pounds

3 pounds of nuts. That's some snacking, you retarded ass faggot.

Cheese?

10g of protein per ounce of cheese = 6 pounds of cheese necessary for 130g of protein.

Milk? Worthless. Gallons needed, so much fat that any muscle maintained will be concealed.

It is a myth that you can get adequate protein intake from a vegetarian diet. In no way is it possible. Lentils, peas, milk or cheese it's all a fucking joke. Even if you are eating meat you have to eat a fuckload. Vegetarianism is fucking retarded, vegetables have NO nutritional value DO NOT become a vegetarian. Eat meat and grains and take a multivitamin, there is nothing worthwhile in fruits or vegetables. Only the most hopelessly enslaved and peasants consume them.

And peanut butter is a great source of fat but it has very little protein.

^I'm pretty sure you're wrong in that 130g of protein is required simply to maintain mass.

I think you'd have to work very hard to not lose muscle. While it is possible, you'd have to as mentioned, take alot of supplements, nuts, drink milk, tofu and other protein alternatives.

I personally believe that being a vegetarian is generally bad for your health, just because our bodies are either meant to or adapted to eating meat. A friend of mine recently became vegetarian and he eats lots of tofu and generally eats a fair bit, but even though he was medium sized in the first place, he's getting really skinny.

Funny, coming from the guy who thinks Tofu is an adequate protein source.

That is 0.5g of protein per pound of bodyweight in a 165ibs male, necessary for maintenance A ratio of 1-2.5 and up is recommended for building muscle mass.

Well I'm a vegan and have been for like a year and three quarters now, been fine and still got plenty of muscle .. Cycled like 70 miles in one day a couple months ago ..

And about tofu, I fucking hate the stuff unless it's creatively put into a dish, just has no flavour on it's own ..

I do like beans quite a lot, bean chili is brilliant and pies are good .. Lots of stuff though, just eat different stuff and there's not many ways to go wrong .. I generally look for ethnic sort of food (mexican, indian etc etc) that doesn't really have or need meat/cheese in the first place, rather than just trying to replace them ..

And it is surprising the amount of vegans I know who are at fat

For a protein analysis, I think I read off a packet of tofu a while ago that it's 40% protein(could've easily been more), and many beans etc have similar amounts, so you'd only need about 300g or so throughout a whole day, it's not that hard to get ..

Also, leafy vegetables have a lot of good stuff like calcium, Iron, vitamins etc etc, so make sure to have enough of em .. of course that's true for any diet but ..
