I've been on Suboxone for a reasonable amount of time.

I always put the pill under my tounge (yes, I've snorted it before - no I don't want to again.) and let it dissolve. When it's pure liquid (10-15 minutes later) I spit it out, rinse my mouth and thats it.

I've heard recently though (and by "heard" I mean searched around different forums online) that swallowing them will increase the effect - and that you SHOULDN'T swallow them.

What the fuck? I would just ask my Doctor, but I don't see him until next month. Figured someone on totse might know.

buprenorphine has a very high first pass metabolism, meaning if you did take it orally, you would be wasting quite a bit of it.

I can't think of any reason why you would spit the liquid out, have you looked it up on drugs.com or rx.com or whatever website that is? There are plenty of websites that list the label instructions for drugs.

If they don't say spit it out, then just swallow it. I've never heard of spitting the liquid out.

ok, well, if there was any remaining buprenorphine in your spit, very little would be absorbed after you swallow. I don't think it would really matter either way.

I usually swallow it. But i take a very very small amount about 1/10 of the pill at a time. What's the usual dose? If i take more than that i end up throwing up about 2 hours later.

you let the bupe dissolve on your tongue, or at least stick it up your nose if your impatient and can't stand the taste of tang.

thats crazy, and probably explains why some years ago suboxone made me puke for days straight. before i had ever gotten into opiates someone gave me some for free and i just ate the pills like any other pills and ended up getting ill for days.

all kinds of people told me its because i had no opiate tolerance yada yada but i've done $100 bags of dope in 2 IVs and felt like i needed to go the hospital but never once puked. opiates have never made me puke aside from sub.

And you're still alive? Why do I VERY seriously doubt this? Unless you get about .1 grams of shit dope for 50 bucks. My H tolerance is mighty damn high, and I know that if I shot a 50 of dope back to back, I wouldn't have a prayer. I wouldn't worry about puking, I puke off of 20-30 dollars of dope; I'd be worried about staying alive. If I IV'd 2 50s of dope, I'd just take my ass straight to the hospital, as most junkies I know would.
