Anonymous: Unprotected sex
"Hey everybody, this is something I'm really ashamed of - and I know that I deserve flaming for it, so I asked wires to please post it anonymously for me - which is a pussy move, but well, not as pussy as my other moves.
I've had unprotected sex with probably about 10 people in the last year. I'd say that a couple of them were pretty high risk folks when it came to the probability of catching a nasty std or two (from countries with high HIV/AIDS rates, or definitely promiscuous.) A couple of them were also virgins (Which makes me feel like pretty much the shittiest human being on the planet.) I wouldn't bring up the subject of STD's ever in our interactions, and if anybody asked I'd say that I'd been tested.
But here's the thing... I haven't. I'm too afraid. I don't want to find out that I'm HIV positive, or that I have hep-B or any other fatal, incurable illness. I can't bring myself to get tested, and I keep on living the low life. I know that it's totally unfair and unethical and horrid of me to be exposing other people to the same illnesses that I am fucking scared shitless of, but I'm just totally living in denial.
Man, that's fucked up, like I can barely even bring myself to admit it, but I dunno, I think it might be a fairly common sentiment...or not? Are any of you afraid that you've exposed yourself and/or others to something fucking sick, but you're too much of a fucking chicken shit to face the truth, and so you just keep on keeping on, praying that it's all allright? Ignorance is bliss?
Please don't. Man up. Just man the fuck up. Use protection, get tested. Think with your big head, not with your little head. Don't tell lies. I dunno, sorry guys.

Re: Anonymous: Unprotected sex
Gadzooks?
FINE. Yes I once thought I was exposed to something. I didn't get tested as her boyfriend got tested and told me he was clean, so I assumed I was clean because she was the only person I'd had unprotected sex with.
When I found out my ex was sleeping with me, and some one else, I got tested. The other dude she slept with had an STD a few years before she met him (from a cheating ex), and he told her he was clean.
People are fucked. You seriously need to get tested. You're a fucked up human being if you don't.
Haaaaappy wires?

Do youse have the government STD Clinics where you live? I do. I wouldn't fancy going to a Doc that I might see for other problems. It's hard enough to visit the Clinic...multiple times! :( :D

Re: Anonymous: Unprotected sex
Realise that getting a test won't change the fact whether you are infected or not.
What it WILL do, however, is put your mind at peace. Maybe you're worrying over nothing? Maybe you're clean? Go and find out.
If the test comes out positive - you're still better off. Why? Because a lot of these illnesses can be treated. Unless you leave them to develop.
It's a win/win in your case. Go and get tested. And use protection, for fucks sake.

Re: Anonymous: Unprotected sex
Get tested and if you have anything get it taken care off and tell everyone you've slept with to get tested as well by sending them an E-card or something similar like maybe a text message.
If you're clean continue your lifestyle until it catches up with you.

The only thing you have to fear is fear itself. Like agent said, either you're infected or not, all that the test will change is whether you're afraid.
tell everyone you've slept with to get tested as well by sending them an E-card or something similar like maybe a text message.
Lol. Classy.

It is kinda scary getting tested if you're unsure but afterwards you feel alot better for having done it.

Re: Anonymous: Unprotected sex
Getting tested is the biggest weight off your shoulders. Even if you have something, at least you know and can prevent others from getting it. On top of that, it could easily be something that's easily reversed.
If you live in Canada there's free health clinics everywhere that'll test you without even asking your name if you choose.
I happen to have a really good relationship with the nurse at the health clinic here, she keeps me updated on when I should be getting tested and getting pap tests, as well as giving me free birth control.
It really isn't a scary thing to do, grow some balls and go get tested.

If you are who I think you are, you can talk to me on msn about it some more. If not, ignore that comment.
It's obviously not gadzooks. He comes in here once in a while to bitch about how he peaked years ago and hasn't had sex in over a year.
The proper response to this thread should be obvious: GET TESTED IMMEDIATELY.
That's it.

Re: Anonymous: Unprotected sex
Wow. You're such a fucking douche bag. Thats some selfish shit to fuck up someone else's life for.
I'm pretty sure that he couldn't have known even if he'd been tested, but my ex boyfriend who I dated for over 2 years, had HPV. Guess what showed up on my pap about 5 months later. Now because about 80% of people have it, it wasn't actually that big of a deal but I was still fucking pissed.
Not only could they have a possibly incurable disease but if one of those ladies had an IUD and you gave her chlamydia, after lying about being clean, she will be sterile for the rest of her life. Take some fucking responsibility.

HPV cannot be tested for in men, and condoms don't prevent it. You should blame the women he slept with before you that didn't inform him.

Re: Anonymous: Unprotected sex
Just keep having unprotected sex. Because once you know if you have something, you'll be obliged to tell them and then no one's going to want to have sex with you.

Yeah, I wasn't angry at him, just the situation. There is no way for a guy to know he has it unless they get one of the strains that give genital warts. His ex girlfriend was a total bitch though, we think she must have cheated on him because she was a virgin when they first started dating.

It really is unfortunate. You're a carrier for it now too. I read something on it that said it actually goes from women to men way more often than men to women, which seemed really counterintuitive.
Also, the strains that cause genital warts don't cause cervical cancer. Those strains don't actually have any symptoms for men, although they can lead to penile cancer later on.
Sad.

Re: Anonymous: Unprotected sex
Dude, get the test, if not for the other people, then just to get that weight off your shoulders
And IF you do have something you better start treatment before there is no hope
I could start now about what you deserve, but you seem perfectly aware of the kind of person you are, so...
all i can do is wish you good luck and start using rubbers dude
