You probably won't be able to.
Please consider the following:
You are wasting the doctor's time and thus causing longer wait times for patients with real problems.
Doctors are smart. They go to fancy schools for a long time. They are trained to recognize drug-seeking behaviour.
If your approach is very obvious, it's likely you'll have 'drug-seeking behaviour' on your file for the rest of your life. This could mean inadequate treatment for a painful affliction.
By perpetuating prescription abuse in such a direct manner, you're making it harder for people with real pain to obtain proper medication.
Don't bother. Buy it from a drug dealer like everyone else.

Shit like this really pisses me off. Yea sure, getting a free script for Oxy would be fucking sic, even just for some Vics would be cool too, but really, it's fucking ridiculous if you don't have a legitimate problem. I had to put up with fucking chronic pain for 2 years before they decided to give me T3's. FUCKING T3's!! When they told me that all I could think of was, "Wow, I put up with all this shit for this fucking long, you finally to give me a pain med, and it's only a dozen codeine."
But besides that, if you fake pain, you're going to have to go through a large amount of tests, plus at least half a dozen bullshit meds. I have chronic headaches (literally every single day). I had to get an EEG, MRI, CT scan, MRI of my spine. Tried me on an anti-convulsant, about 3-4 blood pressure meds, a couple types of Migraine Meds, and an anti-depressant.
So lemme know if you're still committed, and just think about all the other people that gotta fuckdick around for months on end to get anything that'll help their REAL pain that they gotta put up with everyday because people like you are fucking selfish.
I realize though that you probably don't even give a fuck, but whatever.
EDIT: Or you could fake cancer, pfft.

i got a question, but i feel like it fits in this thread.
What would make a doctor prescribe OC over percs? I could be wrong, but arent they both just oxycodone but perc has acetaminophen? so i guess its more watered down. but if you break your arm, what makes them decide on which to give you? is it the severity of the pain? or anything to do with abuse potential?
(I'm not trying to get a script to either one, i'm just curious) thanks in advance

Oxycontin is a time-release form of oxycodone, and i think it only comes in 40mg's and 80mg's (maybe 20's). And then the lower dose oxycodone pills usually have APAP, or sometimes like advil/ibuprofen/whatever in 'em. So pretty much, oxycontin is for really severe pain (like cancer or something or amputees), and then percs are for less severe pain. |

Why the fuck is this thread still open?
On a side note, I met this guy in detox who told me he smashed a block on his foot in order to get pain killers. He also showed me scars on his shoulder (nasty scars) from where he stabbed himself and said he got in a bar fight to get morphine from the ER.
Basically, unless you have an injury and are in intense pain don't waste your time or your doctor's time.

I "destroyed" (his words) my tailbone river rafting and they didn't give me anything.
I've had kidney stones a couple times a year ever since I was thirteen, and the most I got was a morphine IV a couple times at the ER. I passed 11 stones over a six month period my freshman year of high school, and I got nothing but tylenol 3. Nowadays I don't even tell my doctor when it happens because I know I'll just get a bunch of bloodwork and no pain pills :(

Not even worth it. I don't have trouble GETTING pain pills, just getting them prescribed, it seems. Even if I had a prescription, it'd be so insignificant next to the amount I buy anyway that it wouldn't really make a difference. If I thought they'd give me 80's or something, sure, but seeing as the best I'd get would be some vicodin/percocet each month, it doesn't matter. I go through a month's worth of vicoden/percocet a few times a week.

OxyContin is used as a form of all-day pain relief (with BID dosing) and not for PRN/as needed purposes. Percocet, however, is for PRN/as needed purposes.
Also, if some people are bound to ingest two Percocets every four hours, and they have a legitimate reason to, then it makes a lot more sense to just provide an equivalent dose in OxyContin, unless the patient is somehow greatly benefiting from the addition of APAP to their oxycodone regimen or can't afford OC. |
