Beer Keg
How much does one cost and how does one go about obtaining such a thing? Just how much beer is in a keg anyways?

Re: Beer Keg
One keg is 15.5 gallons or approximately 140 of the classic red cups you'll see at keggers, college parties, and other gatherings of the sort.
Cost is relative to the quality of the beer. Obviously Miller is going to be a hell of a lot cheaper than a keg of, say, Smithwick's.

Depends on the liquor store. My favorite place to pick up booze is called The Party Source, located in northern Kentucky, across the river from my city (Cincinnati). They've got an entire 'beer cave' with dozens of kegged brews, but most people can't expect to get so lucky.
Cost is also relative to taxes etc. in your state.
But you're probably looking at around $60 to $70 for most domestic macrobrews.
EDIT: I forgot to mention the deposits, which range from $20 to $40.

Re: Beer Keg
deposits?
Yeah, you've gotta put a certain amount of money down that'll be refunded as long as everything comes back in the same condition as when you rented it out. An insurance, if you will.
