Well I'm 18 (turned 18 a month ago), and I know some guys don't start developing facial hair until their a bit older, but I don't have any side burns. But heres whats confusing me... I can grow a full beard and mustache... And my beard wouldn't be composed of really thin, shitty hairs. I can grow a decent beard. But why no side burns? Most guys I know started growing sideburns first, then chin hair started forming... I seem to have skipped a step. Wtf?

I don't even want to grow sideburns, they wouldn't look good on me. But this still has me a bit confused. Did anyones facial hair develop like this?

yeah, i guess same with it growing in some places loads but not others... for example, the area above my lip grows wayyyyyy slower than everywhere else on my face.

I'm rockin' the Movember too, but my sideburns are usually long enough that you can see the red anyway. I'm a mix of Irish and South African... As far as I know there's not really any Scottish in the mix.

My beards grow in very slowly, but when I was like 17 or 18 I just didn't shave for a long time, and then shaved everything but the sideburns, and I've had it ever since. Just grow a full beard for a while, and then shave in some sideburns once it's a decent shag. Takes a different amount of time for everyone.

I don't think thats the case at all. Every other guy in my family can grow a full beard, and something like that would have to be genetically passed on.

I know I will be able to grow side burns, its just typically they are the first type of facial hair to form, but I guess for me it will be the last.

I have tons of prickly peach fuzz that grows where sideburns should be, but not many real hairs yet.
