Another 'I Like This Girl' Thread
Well, theres this girl in (high) school that I like! I'm thinking that I should just grow some testies and ask her to chill already, but its nice to have opinions from people who don't know or give a fuck about you.
I'll try to make this as brief as possible. Shes part of the 'partying' group but like not really, sometimes she'll go out with the skanks to parties and sometimes she'll just hang out with a few of her closer friends. I don't have many friends, maybe 1-2 best friends at most. The kids in school are just kids I fuck around with in class but never see outside of school. She's had a boyfriend/FWB (not sure) the last year who was a year older and graduated. I've kissed one girl in my life.
I have class with said girl, and we haven't really talked the first month of school. Then I don't really remember what happened, but somehow we started talking occasionally. We were in the same lab group and shit so we got to talk a little. Fast forward to the present. Not to sound like an asshole, but I'm an honors/AP student and shit, and shes not really. I offer to help her study for a test we have coming up and during my lunch we chill in library and I help her. Lately (the last week), she's been acting all flirty with me, as far as I can tell. But then she tries to fuck with me I guess, like when we're walking to our classes which are next to each other she will just stop talking and power walk ahead of me and go into her class. But other times, shes all like happy and laughing and shit. And sometimes I think that she is looking at me as if she wants me to go up to talk to her, and when I do she gets all laughy and shit.
Now for my problems. She talks with a lot of guys and is pretty friendly with them but more friendy than flirty. She sees these same guys when she goes out to parties, and I never see her outside of school. Also, my mind is kinda fucked up; I have these fuckin retarded thoughts like 'Maybe she knows that I don't get female attention so shes just trying to be nice'. I know that this is probably not true because she seems genuinely friendly, but my mind is fucked up like that. And if she says no then one of the few girls that I talk to in school will be awkward to talk to. Like I know that I need to fuckin take the risk if I want the reward, but it doesn't feel right asking her out when she talks to so many other kids that shes known for all four years.
All mature responses are appreciated. Thanks.
This came out longer than I thought, so heres a 1 min video reward for reading: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B20jcpsyMiU

Dude, best advice... Be more social. The more social you are now, the less awkward it will be later in life...
Oh, and party some... You don't have to drink/do drugs. Hell I go to the bar sometimes just to eat dinner, have a beer, and laugh @ the people getting shitty drunk.

Re: Another 'I Like This Girl' Thread
You: So whats going down this weekend, any parties?
Her:Nah nothing planned etc.
You: There's a party this weekend. Want to go?
Fixed.
Take the initiative, ask her to do something. Man the fuck up and just do it. If she rejects you, you can just drop her. If she says yes, tell her you'll call her. Get her # right then if you don't already have it.
If you don't try, you will never get pussy, ever. So be as social as you can, talk to as many girls as you can whenever you can. If you meet new people in a group, introduce yourself, then be friendly from then on. You'll expand your social circles and exponentially increase your chances of getting laid.
You're already talking to her, so you're 50% of the way there. Now you have to take a chance and ask her to do something. If she's interested, she'll go. If she's not, you can move on. The good thing is that if you become more social, you'll meet way more girls, so it'll work out either way.
Also, people have friends. If she's been talking to people for 4 years, she's not going to suddenly date them. They're friends.
If she rejects you and you want to keep her on as a friend, don't make it awkward. You invited her to a party. If she says no say, "alright" and just leave it at that. Pretend it never happened.

Or get really bitter and scowl at her whenever you see her. And call her a slut for not going out with you. And spit at her. A lot.

I already have her number, and we text sometimes, but I always start. The thing is that I don't really hear about the parties and shit, me and my circle just smoke/drink together and dont give a fuck what the 'cool' kids are doing. Back when I played football fresh/soph year I went to parties because the upperclassmen were chill as hell, but now I don't hear about shit until the Monday after.
And I don't really know what to say without sounding awkward, cause she'll know if Im uneasy. I could just say, what are you doing this weekend, nothing, wanna go see a movie or something?, yes/no. I want to say something like 'You seem really fun, when are we gonna chill outside of school'. She really is fun, and I think that she would appreciate that much more, but I'm still not so sure. I
just don't want to seem so aggressive and quick, whether thats good or not. I dont wanna fuck this chance up because shes really cool and such a better and happier person in general than all the other bitches that I liked/had crushes on. I know I'm opening up to the "dont put pussy on a pedestal" response, but whatever. Shes a good girl.

I'm sure she is a really nice girl and all of the things you say she is, but c'mon....there isn't anything to be worried about here. It's not like this girl is the only girl who will ever make you happy, or the only nice girl out there. Just do what fanglekai said, and if it doesn't work it's no big deal.
Also if you want to compliment her while asking her to do something, I'd think of something better than "you are fun". Seriously, just ask her to do something, you don't have to compliment her while doing it. Save it for the date (lolomgitsnotadatelol).

Hey we've all been there. I was in the same position with this girl in high school. She was fine, not in my circle of friends, one of the uber-popular girls, but we talked. I never made a move on her, and I should have, looking back. Your thread reminded me being a total pussy with her, worrying about rejection or ruining friendship. The thing is, girls love attention, they want to be noticed, and they want guys (unless they're gay, of course).
I know you'll seem nervous when you ask, and that's fine. Honestly, you need to practice at it to improve. It's like acting on stage, yeah it's scary at first, but you get better at controlling your nerves every time you get out there.
The best thing to do is just have the sentence you want to say, and say it. Don't think about it. Just say it. Say the whole thing, then shut up and wait for her response.
You're kind of putting her on a pedestal, but it's fine. You like her. That's a great feeling to have. You need to realize though that she may reject you. If she does, oh well. You can still like her. You might even try again later.
The approach:
Here's my advice. Try to be confident in your approach. Make it sound like an offhand remark in the conversation:
"You know what I just realized?"
'What?'
"We talk a lot but we don't ever hang out. Want to ___________(activity) on ________(day)?" or alternatively (notice how it's a statement/command), "Let's go out for _______ on ______."
It should be a date activity, but nothing elaborate. If you hear about shit going on in your town, try that. If there's some new place to eat, take her there. If there's something you like doing, ask if she wants to do it with you, whether it be going for a walk somewhere or whatever. If she's interested, it's unlikely she'll give a shit what the activity is unless it's something just utterly fucking stupid like going to an emo concert. That's epic phail waiting to happen.
Make sure you set the time when you're asking her. If you want to go get dinner at the new italian food place, say "how's 7 sound?" You show you're decisive by picking the place, the time, and letting her know you're going to drive. Girls hate the guys who never make up their mind. Girls usually don't want to decide anything, so you have to do it for them.
If she says yes, you're in. All you have to do is follow through.
Now go do it. The best thing to do is ask only a couple days in advance. Don't ask her out on Monday for dinner on Friday. That's way too much waiting time since you see her every day. She'll overthink it if you do that. I'd say ask on a Wednesday. Also, make sure she's in a good mood when you ask. If she's pissy, bide your time.
And since I've typed a shit ton in your thread, I want updates.

Thanks GnosisX and Fanglekai. Fanglekai, I fucking love you. Exactly the advice I was looking for haha. I'll make sure to deliver soon enough, just for you.
Question though: I might have the perfect opportunity to ask her on Monday, but thats definetly no good for a weekend plan? I'm just asking because if something certain happens, then I'd have the perfect opportunity.

Re: Another 'I Like This Girl' Thread
Take the time to read this as I think it encompasses all you need to solve your problem.
Just be funny man. Flirt with her. Get to the point where she thinks of you as a fairly good friend, enough to the point that she starts going for hugs when she sees you. Then throw something in the mix called kino. It's basically when ever you talk to her, make a point to EVER so slightly touch her hand. Or shoulder. Or back. Figuratively scream "HEY! I'M A TOUCHY FEELY GUY AND I DON'T MIND BEING UP CLOSE AND PHYSICAL". DON'T OVER DO THIS THOUGH. BE SUBTLE. Make her realize you as an attractive, able mate. Mention other buisiness to. Talk about funny things that you do when she's NOT there, or fun sports and activities you like. Women LOVE a busy guy. It shows them that you're a well rounded guy and not a loser that sits around all day. For some reason, they find it attractive, even on a subconscious level. Make sure it doesn't seem like she's the center of you're life and that you're trying to get her attention. Sometimes you have to ignore her, or back off a little. Women LOVE being ignored. :D Ideally, she should approach YOU about hanging out. That isn't always the case though, and it might not turn out that way. Probably won't. Don't come on too strong. Take your time. No need to rush. Could take a month or two or THREE to even get her interested. Then when you're sure that she'll say yes, next time you see her, ask her if she wants to hangout on the weekend or something. Don't come up to her and ask. Slip it in. Be subtle. If she says yes, get her number (if she doesn't give it to you, and if she does, then you're REALLY in). Call her up with a fun and interesting thing to do. This can range from going out to eat, to pogo stick racing at a midget carnival in Africa. If you can keep up a conversation, go with the food. Just flirt with her. Flash a smile. Act endearing. Act like you care what she has to say. Around the time the conversation starts to die down if it does (Don't let it fully die, let her only associate you with being funny and talkative), slip in that maybe you'd like to watch a movie at your house or something, and that you just watched this really funny/scary movie she should see.
The rest...welll....you know what to do.
Show her a good time, she'll come back for more, then by this time you can tell her "Oh I'm in love lets go out" or whatever and it won't matter cause she's hooked.

I'm glad to have been helpful. I wish someone would have given me this advice when I was in high school.
If you think Monday will work better, then ask her Monday. I was just saying that usually I'll ask later in the week so they have less time to change their minds. Sometimes they'll over-analyze (by sometimes I mean always) and decide to flake out. The idea is that if you give her more time to overthink the situation, she might back out. However, if she is actually into you, then there's no worry. If you have a good opportunity on Monday, then definitely do it.
Here are the possible scenarios:
If she doesn't accept the date to begin with, then you move on.
If she accepts the date...
If she doesn't like you when you ask, she might say yes at first then cancel later on from over thinking, thus never giving you a chance.
If she doesn't like you when you ask, she might go on the date and still not be interested. It'll end shortly after.
If she doesn't like you when you ask, but she goes on the date, she might become interested in you. More dates will ensue.
If she likes you, she will accept the date and she won't change her mind. She might lose interest after the date or after a few dates, so then it's over.
If she likes you, accepts the date, doesn't flake out, and maintains interest in you, then it'll continue.
I'm awaiting the update.
edit: the point of me listing all the different scenarios was to show that a lot of things can happen. Rejection is a part of life. Notice how about half of the options show you getting more than one date. Understand that she's just a girl. She's not a celebrity or anything, she's just a normal, regular girl. If you're fun to be around, she'll want to be around you.

1-3 months in high school is an eternity. She'll have found another guy by then. Be funny, have shit going on in your life, and don't idolize her. That's good advice.

Thats actually probably right, I actually didn't bother to read and thought he hadn't approached the girl yet.
What this kid needs to do is work some of the old mojo and physically flirt a shit load, get her to think of him as a potential mate. The kino thing still stands. Anything to show her you're a hands on kinda guy. Invite her over for a scary movie night or something, pick out and rent a horror movie and mid way through be like oh hold me I'm scared! jokingly and put your arm around her and it'll make her laugh, and just dont take your arm from her. Then say some fucking amazingly sexy line and turn her cheek towards yours. Look in her eyes. Give her the sexiest look you can. Say something sexy. Sexy voice her. Flat, monotonous, gravelly, deep, lustful. Then reel her in and lock lips. Pause a moment. Intensify. You're in.

While I don't use the word kino, it's absolutely effective. Gradual steps are the way to do it. Horror movies are perfect for that kind of thing, especially if it's an interesting one you can talk about later and bond over. Any exciting activity that gets the adrenaline pumping will make you feel more attracted to the person you're with. Roller coasters and horror movies are perfect examples of this.

Alright, hows asking her to see a movie and have dinner after sound? Theres nothing to do around here besides parties or blaze up at the park. Theres a nearby mall where we could dinner/movie, but is that too cliche to ask a girl to or is it too 'personal' for just hanging out?

Re: Another 'I Like This Girl' Thread
Was in a similar situation to you now with this gal I really liked too; she seemed the same as yours, can have a joke and parties at the odd weekend but doesn't go out all the time. We only started chatting once off the bus because we were laughing about this old woman that fell off her seat when the bus hit the kerb. I was at an advantage because she was going to the same college as me and lives in the same area as me (I used to catch an earlier bus [takes just as long, if not longer to go round than the later bus though] than her though so didn't find out she went to the same college until I took the early bus one day because I needed to get in early to finish off work due that day).
Different courses and timetables and rarely met at break times because she was with her mates she made in her course and like wise with me.
I just got more time to chat to he on the bus about various different shit and didn't try too hard to be funny but would jokingly take the piss out of some girly shit she did (watching love actually on the sofa with a tub of ice cream crying, rather than watching England beat Germany), be witty but don't unecessarily cut in and try to be funny; wit and humour goes a long way.
After chatting about her weekend and that she hadn't done much I asked to exchange numbers and that if she ever wanted to come out then I'd take her out with my mates and her mates n we could get together (doing myself and the rest of my mates a favour), then just led it from there.
Don't come across as too desperate, don't ask her to chill out if there's fuck all to do or on some random day; 1st date with this gal was to the cinema on a Wednesday because the phone provider I'm with do a 2 for 1 deal at the cinema if you text in to them, I asked her out to the cinema with me (found out what type of films she liked from chatting to he ron the bus, she has similar taste to me). Don't be afraid to tell her you're busy if you actually are when she asks you out places sometime, shows you ain't a loser and have hobbies. It's a good opportunity for you to ask her to come out more too; example: I'm into all fitness at the moment because I got kicked out of college for breaking a paki's nose who was startin on me, so I'm getting well endured ready to help when I apply for the fire brigade in 2009.
Don't be afraid to show you're a man sometimes and chat about your hobbies and what you've been doing.
Never ask where she would like to go or what to do, KNOW what she likes to do; in order to do that though you need to shut the fuck up sometimes and actually listen to what she says. She should make as much effort to chat back to you, if she likes you she will make as much effort to keep a good convo going (only way you can force someone to like you is booze).
I've only known this girl for a month now and only saw her on odd occassions other than the bus (we only were in college the same days fo 2 days out of the 5), I just listened and spoke to her and ended up getting he rnumber.
Or maybe I'm just lucky with girls and can connect with them easily because I don't really give too much of a fuck about getting rejected and just go for it.

Re: Another 'I Like This Girl' Thread
If your just trying to 'hang-out' make sure that you don't get put into the friend zone. You really just need to go for what you want in life when you want it. Girls are tricky that is true but if you think this girl likes you or is flirting with you then go for it. If she has some friends you should try asking them if she likes you.
Another thing, don't get too hooked on this girl if you do start dating or whatever.

Re: Another 'I Like This Girl' Thread
Update: Just got home from school, and Im fucking pissed. She practically ignored me today while making sure to talk nonstop to the fucking kid that sits next to me. Its during class, so I cant just start talking to her 2 seats over. And when I did talk to her, she gave the gayest fucking responses ever, like 1-2 word shit. I dont know if shes trying to fuck with my head and or make me jealous or some shit, but I'm really pissed/upset. Now I really lost the will to ask her to chill, even if in the next few days we laugh and shit I just wouldn't feel right asking her if theres some days that she totally ignores me. She can just stay friends with her old jock friends and ignore me for all I care. Whatever.
edit - Read it and I seem like a troll; well I'm not.

That sucks. You should start talking to lots of other girls and it'll make her jealous, then she'll try to get on your dick faster than you can say jack robinson.
Alternatively, you could just fuck the other girls. Win/win situation.

This can help. I liked a girl for a VERY long time or it seemed like that at least. Never gave me the time of day until i started hooking up with someone else and had moved on.

Re: Another 'I Like This Girl' Thread
Sorry to hear about that. You win some and you lose some. The quickest way to forget about her is to go after someone else.
One thing you will find in the future though is when you're dealing with chicks whom you aren't sure how they feel about you, is you will save yourself a lot of trouble by just propositioning them as soon as it is convenient and appropriate. If they are interested, good. If not, you find out right then and don't waste any more time on them. If you wait around you will be either delaying whatever good stuff could come from it or wasting precious time you could be using to involve yourself with more agreeable women.

Fuckin pussy, it's cos you can't man up and give up too easy; she doesn't care that much, play her as good as she is you.
What exactly is the problems when you're with her?
Not enough conversation?
Does it just feel awkward?
Maybe you've just got a bitch, if so be a sleezebag and get her into bed (with booze), when you're fucking her give her a donkey punch for being a bitch.
All I can advise is don't even let it get you angry, don't give a fuck, girls come n go, look elsewhere; if this girl you are interested in sees you ain't such a loser and CAN get pussy and please girls then she may act differently.
She got a younger sister?
Fuck her instead.
