BuSpar?
What does anyone know about BuSpar. My doctor recommended it, but I want some input from those who have used this medication. I did some research but can't find how it works or what category it is in. Thanks. >NK1<.

Unlike benzos which normally act on the GABA, BuSpar works on serotonin instead. It is classified as an anxiolytic , but how potent it is or how to compare it to any sort of benzo I have not a clue. It pretty much has zero abuse potential, which is why im guessing your doctor is recommendeding it over something like benzos. From what Ive heard though its a pretty ineffective medication, but as I say dont knock it until you try it. Also If I remember correctly it also doesnt really have any sedative properties, which certainly help IMO to relieve anxiety symptons. And a quick google search would tell you that it is a Azaspirodecanedione

Re: BuSpar?
Definitely not preferable for recreational use. It gave me a pretty uncomfortable feeling.

Re: BuSpar?
people say it doesn't do anything, but if you snort it you will feel really fucking weird. back in hs (military school) we would try to get fucked up on whatever. this will give you a really weird uncomfortable feeling. like being electrocuted without the pain at times. iono man, try snorting a LITTLE and see for yourself.

Yeh, I had snorted it, so that's probably why we had a similar experience. I know what you mean with the being electrocuted thing, I just didn't know how to convey that feeling properly. It's weird, made my heartbeat feel irregular and shit.

YES. it is so weird. i used to think they were basically xanax bars, but i popped 2 buspars and i felt yea, like electrocution w/o the pain. really uncomfortable numbing tingling on my body and MOSTLY in my heart. it was so weird... but i'm pretty sure they are useless.
edit: Guy above me, i swear i didn't copy you.

Re: BuSpar?
Those made me feel SOOOO bad when i took them...
I found a shitload of them at my grandma's house from like 2001 and they look a lot like xanax bars, so they are good to sell in bulk to dumbasses.

Re: BuSpar?
I used to take 60 mg two times daily as prescribed by my doc...the shit sucked and didn't help...it made me slightly drowsy for a little bit but that's all it ever did...never helped with my anxiety at all.

Re: BuSpar?
I've been on it for about a year, has no use what so ever for abuse but helps me out a lot with my anxiety.

Re: BuSpar?
Gave me splitting headaches as a freak side effect and therefore I was never able to evaluate its therapeutic efficiency. Some people swear by it, though.
