Default One sided relationship

So, my boyfriend and I have been together for about six months. When I ask, or when I say it first, he'll tell me he loves me. But I'm always the one who initiates everything, sex, kissing, hugging, cuddling. I have to almost force attention on him and I'm getting sick of it. I know I'm not the most attractive person but I'm pretty good looking and I just don't get it. I try bringing it up but he gets extremely upset and angry with me every time I do. What do you guys think? Should I just give up?

Did I post this?

We are very much in the situation except my boyfriend doesn't get mad when I ask him what's wrong, he just says really stupid insults.

I used to be like your boyfriend. I was just really insecure and afraid to show affection/open up to people. I'm way less insecure, and older these days and am fine with the whole relationship thing now, but it used to be hard for me. Keep slathering him with love and he'll come around.

lol no I don't think you did.. well, my boyfriend never actually insults me, but he does that really annoying sulky angry thing that chicks usually do. And he does it EVERY DAY. I'm getting sooo sick of all his shit. It's like, I'm always there holding his hand and comforting him when he's upset, but the second I have a problem he just tells me to get over it and tries to shut me up. I feel like the man in the relationship, and I don't like it.

It used to be the opposite way.. we went through a few months of puppy-love where we were very into each other and really cuddly and stuff, and he told me like a billion times a day how sexy/amazing/smart/cute I was. Now he never says it. EVER.

I used to do the same thing, Hold back, not make any moves. It stems from lack of confidence/comfort in a situation/relationship.

It could be his anxiety, or it could be his comfort level with you. Guys tend to take a while to open up emotionally, or to at least learn how. Like others said, he will come around.....with or without you, eventually he will notice he has a "penis" and needs to be the one taking the lead. Chicks dig it anyway Cool

Honey if you're truly unhappy then I say get rid of him. Nothing is worth unhappiness. If you love him and want to continue trying I'll suggest some things...

1. Stop babying him when he's upset. If you take away the affection he may realize he misses it and how much he needs you.

2. Sit him down and demand an answer and a solution. This may have very bad results. But just tell him 'I'm unhappy. This is why. What are we going to do about it."

3. Tell him you tired of being the dom, tell him you want him to dominate you. Suggest sexy things he can do to you so he's interested and initiates sexual contact himself.

4. Decide it's not worth it and end it.

Caution: I have yet to figure out my own situation so probably don't take my advice.

He's probably bored. Honestly.

I love my girlfriend to death, I'd do anything for her...but when she's telling me how much she loves me 50 times a day, it does get to be a bit annoying and is a bit of a turn off.

If he wanted to do anything, he'd probably initiate it himself. He's bored, is my guess. Or worried about something else besides you.

If he'd always been this way, it'd be different. Stemming from confidence issues, et cetera.

But according to you, he used to be different.

Our situation is very complicated, in some ways that I don't want to post on totse, so the last three probably wouldn't work. I might try your first suggestion, but I'm afraid that might just drive us further apart.

Well, hell, I'm bored too. But I actually try to do something about it. Give him space, time to miss me. Surprise him with stuff. Things like that. I'm not telling him fifty times a day, I'm telling him maybe 3-5. I don't think that's a lot.

Well I guess you care more than he does or he's lazy.

It's not a lot. You're probably fine there.

You may love each other or whatever but maybe the chemistry just isn't there anymore? Don't waste your time for too long...confront him. In a very forward way. Don't let him weasle his way out of answering the questions you want answered. You can't cure a problem until you correctly diagnose it.

Jesus Christ dump the prick already. If you're making an effort then so should he. If it's been happening for a while go find someone who will appreciate you and the effort you put in to relationships. This guy sounds like he doesn't realise how lucky he is to have a girl who does that sort of thing.

But if you're really ugly, well he's not that lucky and you'd better get used to making that sort of effort. Posting pics will improve the feedback you get, guarenteed.

I don't know why you'd stay with him.
