Again, your suggestion is most valid; not just in regards to the toaster-fetish person your topic refers to, but to all troll/spam posters in this, and any other forums on this board. We often bitch and moan about the Moderators' lack of efficiancy regarding patroling this and other forums here on &totse. (see more below *)

There are two simple, yet sometimes difficult principals that we should all be ever cognicent of:

1) The underlying philosophy of totse is that of "freedom of speech". We are all graced with this protection to be able to say whatever we, as individuals, feel in our hearts and in our souls, no matter how evil or perverted they might be.

2) We also have the right to remain silent. (forget which amendment that is atm... maybe number 5?)

* The mods may have the ability, but WE have the power! The power to control what threads and what posts are worthy to either stay here or to go away. If you disagree with any poster's comments AND you have a legitimate argument in opposition to that comment, by all means, make your case against said position; if you agree, then by all means post your support for it. THAT is what, in my opinion, is what this is all about. (see note 1 above)

If you beleive that a thread, or even a post, is just some kiddiot spouting off to gain attention, you can either load and launch your flamethrower hoping that it does some good to thrwart the current, and/or even future attacks, or you can exercise the right in number 2 above.

In the majority of cases, it is much more effective to ignore ignorant/troll posts/threads than to launch even your most aggressive (in your opinion) attacks on said person. In the mentality of a troll, any response is a good response. That, after all, is what they are here for: to evoke a reply to them, or to their comment.
