 Fucking mind games that I'm tired of
I'm in a really frustrating situation with my girlfriend. First of all, there's a drug (soft OTC drug) that I take recreationally that she clearly doesn't like me taking but every time I offered to stop, she has simply told me that it's not her place to complain. Then why continue to bitch about it?
Recently, just out of the blue, she asked to do it with me. I asked her why the change of heart if she clearly said that it was degrading and shitty just a week ago. Then at next mention of it (by the way, no I didn't ask if she wanted to do it because of the above reasons and because I honestly wouldn't want her to get mixed up with it) she starts saying that she "hates" it and she doesn't know why. Again, I offer her that I stop and she insists that it's "irrational" and there's no reason why she should hate it.
Next, on that same day she insists that she is just unhappy and she doesn't know why. This isn't even related to the aforementioned drug. I keep asking her why and she just doesn't want to talk about it. Are you unhappy with me, then (I didn't ask her anything like this because I didn't want to sound like I was bitching about not enough love or something because that would only deter her from admitting it later)?
Today, she mentioned the drug again in a very bitter tone over an instant messaging client which I pointed out (that she sounded bitter, that is) and she just flipped out and left or blocked me or something.
I'm fucking tired of this. It's causing me way too much stress. It's not like I am being unreasonable here, I am willing to give up my personal freedom to do what I like with my body for her and she isn't accepting that offer yet she continues to complain about it and keeps stabbing at me at every opportune moment and, in the end, it sounds to me like she's just about getting ready to leave. I give her a few more weeks and I bet she'll be gone and I'll be miserable.  |

I think whats going on here is that she doesn't want to be that controlling girlfriend that makes you stop smoking weed, drinking alcohol, shooting up heroin (whatever floats your boat), etc... but she doesn't want you using the drug either, so if you really care about her and want to be in a healthy relationship with her I think you should voluntarily stop and make it seem like she didn't make you stop. Its ok to let her know that you stopped for her but don't make it seem like its too big a deal.

Guess what? I still do drugs. I just don't do them with people who know my girlfriend.
