I'm really vain and I put a significant amount of effort into exercising eating right and personal grooming in order to look good. I'm also very shy. I'm going to tell you what just happened to me and I want you to say what I should have done/what you would have done.

So I go to the grocery store, and I have this terrible habit of just trying to walk around looking good. Which isn't so bad if you do it subliminally but it makes me self conscious because in my mind everyone is judging me and it makes me shyer and thus less of a conversationalist.

Anyway, I bought a twelve pack and as I was leaving this fat ugly girl gets my attention and asks if they ID'ed me for the beer. Apparently she was annoyed because they wouldn't let her buy wine without hers.

I said yes and then basically just walked away, and afterwards I was like that was kind of douchey of me. I just moved here I don't have any friends and here I am ignoring an opportunity to meet someone because of their looks. She could have easily had a ton of hot friends, been down with all the hipsters and had a good weed connection which I desperately need.

I blame it a little on my shyness, but same situation attractive girl I would make small talk and buy the bottle of wine for her(not pay for it just use my id). That's all. I've just been pondering this since I left the store.

If she was fat and ugly, I would have done the same thing.

But if a girl asks you if they ID'd you, it doesn't mean she wants to fuck you. Unless she said it while caressing her boobs and staring at your cock. It means she just wanted to make sure she wasn't the only one getting ID'd.

Well, It's not like I go there specifically for that purpose. I also don't loiter around. I just get what I need and leave, but I try to look extra good while doing it.

I treat everyone the same. Old lady on the bus got my seat, hot girl trying and failing to light a cigarette got a light and a have a nice day, slightly strange old man told me 20 years of his life story while waiting for a shop to open - I listened, begger on the street got a couple of quid - nothing to me but seemed to mean a lot to him. the fact I stayed with him for 10 minutes seemed to mean more though, van driver trying to back out of a driveway got a hand out and gave me a cheery wave back.

Fat people? Depends on how fat, and whether or not they whine about it. If they are 400 lbs and whining about it, it bothers me. If they're 20 lbs over weight, and they don't care, I don't usually care. If they're 400 lbs and NOT whining about it, they need to be. If they're 20 lbs over weight and are whining about it, it bothers me.
