So I've been trying to get into fingerpicking alot lately. But I don't really listen to that much country/folk stuff. I need some recommendations for catchy stuff that's sort of at a medium difficulty level.

So far I've memorized:

Don't think twice (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtkVGClqrT4)
The Girl from the North Country (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dN6_Ymd3NxQ)

Stuff that sounds like those would be great.

Scar Tissue - Red Hot Chili Peppers

Real simple fingerpicking.

Anything by Nick Drake. The guy is a genius when it comes to finger picking.

iron and wine - such great heights

Clearly skip james is what you're looking for

Blackbird by the beatles. First finger pickin dig i ever learned

Maybe some John Butler Trio, but I can't comment on how difficult it is to play their stuff.

Oh yea, I forgot to mention Elliot Smith. Now there's a good finger picker.

This.

My favourites to play are Bert Jansch - Angie, John Renbourn - Another Monday and Debbie Anne. Various other Jansch like Smokey River and Veronica. Tommy Emmanuel is also awesome, but not very folksy, and you won't be able to learn it until you're a lot better. Your best bet is to find some Jansch Power Tabs.

Hope I could help.

Classical Gas. So damn catchy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mguzKze1sYo

Bron-yr-aur by Zepplein. Hands down my favorite fingerpicking tune.

Sadly, I can't fingerpick for shit. I honestly believe I could learn to play legato two guitars at the same time before I could learn to fingerpick.

Tommy Emmanuel and Chet Atkins. :p

Thanks for the songs.

Already got a good deal of Classical Gas down and started working on some Tommy Emmanuel.
