I've noticed that while in a relationship, people tend to almost function as one entity sort of. You know, when someone wants to hang out, they say lets hang out with "so and so and his girlfriend", not "lets hang out with so and so".
Anyway, you know how couples tend to have like 1 or 2 other couples they chill or play cards or scrabble with every other weekend? Maybe go out and see movies and stuff.

Why is this?
I'm trying to figure out. If you hang out with a single person they feel like a third wheel. If you hang out with a few single people they just leave on their own. If you chill with a couple or two though, everyones happy. I think it may have to do with not having to worry oh is this guy flirting with my girl, oh is this girl flirting with me, oh are these people feeling left out.
