Two days ago he was here with his computer, we later went to a friends house and anticipated coming back to my house so he could snag his computer. At our friends he said he was leaving, offered me a ride but I said I'd stay there, he said "alright I'll pick my computer up tomorow after work".

I left my friends house and came home. The power supply to my main gaming computer is out and all I'm left with is this POS I'm typing on now so I went to use ethans computer to play some battlegrounds. His computer launches lime wire, I opened it up and that's when I found it.

My pothead instincts didn't like idea of sitting in a police station talking to those who have arrested many of my friends for possesion. What if I didn't turn him in, he's 20 and already into child porn, how long would it be until he stopped fantazing and actually acted out one of the horrific scenarios I saw in his videos?

It was hard to sleep but I did and woke up by the sound of my cell phone, it was the computer shop with the diagnostic of my machine, my power supply had destroyed my cpu and gpu, shitty yes, but not as shitty as the day that followed.

I decided I had to grow a pair and turn him into the police. The hardest part was having to ask my parents for a ride to the police station and having to explain why. They didn't hesitate or question me, they knew I would NEVER willingly walk into a police station without it being a damned good reason.

I arrived at the police station and asked the lady behind the glass that I needed to speak with a deputy, to my suprise she told me I'd have TO CALL one. That's right, she directed me to a phone and I had to call the dispatcher and ask for an officer to meet me inside the police station. I sat in a chair and waited for 10 minutes for a deputy to show up. 10 minutes for a cop to help someone in the fucking police station.

We went into a room away from everyone and I began to explain the situation as best I could. I had to explain the story to 2 other investigatiors as well as write a statement. Everytime asking questions that were damn awkard to answer in front of my father and 3 grown men I'd never met before.

I showed him the files, how I discovered them and explained how limewire works, explained the "PTCH" tags and what they're used for. Apparently E had moved the files from the original folder which means he can be charged not only for possesion but for intent to distribute and reproduce.

When I was ready to leave he already had enough information for a search warrent and enough to call him in. There sending the computer to a forensics expert to determine the exact dates in which they were downloaded and to see if he has anything hidden and to see things on his hard drive from the past.

He's still out there but they're looking for him, they were trying to get me to set up a trap so they could snag him without effort but I'm not putting my family at risk. I already hand delieverd a pedophile and helped them do most of the work, I'm not going to be invovled in trapping the kid.

In my oppinion whether or not you wanted to turn him in to the police or not; you should have confronted him about it and i suspect the reason you did not is because you lacked the courage to do this. Fundamental economics - it creates a demand. Barring the occasional troll or 'tard dropping that shit on limewire and the like, it's being provided by one ped to others.
