I was thinking that maybe I would like to try some LSD. It would be purely as an experiment. I'm trying to learn to lucid dream and astral projection and I was thinking about taking just a small dose of LSD so I could get a feel for how easily reality can be altered. I heard from a few different people that they took some of it just to "find themselves" or something along those lines, and they said that it helped them with being lucid and shit. I've read that it isn't addictive, but what do you guys think I should do, those of you that have used it before?

If this'll be your first hallucinogen, you might want something less potent than LSD, maybe shrooms? Or if you want to get deep into self-discovery, maybe a dissociative like Ketamine or DXM?

So long as you aren't schizophrenic, or really depressed, there's a 95% chance you'll love your first trip.

Well, that's a matter of opinion. A few people I've talked to said they wish they would have done acid as their first psyche. Shrooms are still very intense, especially at higher doses, and in my opinion, more uncomfortable than acid.

I fall into the group of people who wish they did acid for their first psyche.

But, as I said, all a matter of opinion.

I did LSD as my first hallucinogen, and I had one of the best times of my life.

Do a lower dose if you like, but I say take 2 hits.

That's an incredible rarity, and you can usually spot the sketchy folks from a mile away.

Word, true hippies usually have very fair prices (often giving away a certain amount for free) and almost always strong acid.

By the way, which festival was it?

Voodoo Music Experience, with NIN, Stone Temple Pilots, and Lil Wayne headlining. :)

NIN was trippy enough on their own. Their effects gave Pink Floyd a run for their money.

the few people I've introduced to acid, I tell them to "just do it". seriously, if you've done any form of hallucinogen before, acid is too good to NOT just do it.

I don't know, I feel I'm biased. Acid really gave me a whole new perspective on my life, now I'm entirely exclusive to using hallucinogens and weed (I loved opiates, benzo's and GHB for the longest time, acid and hallucinogens in general just blow all of that out of the water for me).

when you can't physically overdose on a drug, it's so fun to just push yourself to the limits of what your mind can handle because you know you won't die.

i dont know if it will help you have lucid dreams, but it is a wonderful substance....

a good intense acid trip can be one of the most amazing experiences of your life....

Expect for it to alter how you see the world, yourself, and those around you, for many this altered perception of things is considered positive.... Acid changed my entire outlook on life and has made me a happier and more optimistic person.

It is not addictive in any typical kind of way, and you can not die from it... well 1 person did die but he mistook some pure crystal for speed and injected a massive quantity.... probably shooting up more at one time than most of us will see in a lifetime.... I say its not addictive in any typical kind of way because after you trip most people get their fill for a while, there are no withdrawals or even an unpleasant comedown, and tolerance builds so fast you really cant psychically make it an every day habit. its more of some people getting the desire to see just how deep the rabbit hole goes.... their is an insane difference between 1 or 2 hits and a dose in the milligrams...

It is worth a try, i would suggest 2 hits for your first time, with 1 you will probably be left with a feeling of "well that was ok, but i wish i had done more".... The only reason i ever do just 1 is to test the strength for someone, I plan to trip with someone who does not like it to be very intense and i wanted to know if she would be alright with 1, and i think she can handle it... but i will be doing more.

Have some good music, cigarettes if you smoke them, oranges, and be able to wander around outside.... Day or night trips are fun and each have their advantages, during the day there is an insane amount of color to take in and everything looks incredibly vivid, my last day trip i spent a while out on a kayak in a lake, sky had hues of purple, the paddle was leaving trails, the ripples in the water were forming electric looking patterns, and the trees in the distance were a beautiful green...

Night trips are nice because everything outside is peaceful, an insane amount of stars fill the sky, the light and shadows shift and move, and it just provides for a view that looks like something that should be in a painting....

Try to not be around people who would care until your comfortable enough around them... On a 1 or 2 hit acid trip i can be around my family and pass off as sober, as long as they dont see my pupils.... But its not recommended...

Eat more than a little. The more the merrier.

if you're trying to learn lucid dreaming you should get some melatonin from the store, it's super cheap and will give you pretty lucid dreams.

Not saying you shouldn't do acid, but melatonin will allow you to have much more involved dreams, also try journaling your dreams to remember them better.

I'm sorry if I confused some of you, I don't want to take acid to have a lucid dream. I won't be taking it then going to bed hoping to be lucid, that would be a waste to just fall asleep. I plan on taking it for the spiritual quest if that makes sense. I was just hoping it would help me do better with theology and what not. I think I'll give it a try, but I don't have anyone to do it with. I know people that do it, but I never hang out with them.

Acid is an amazing experience, you won't regret it. Hallucinogens are my favorite.

If you are gonna do it by yourself I would have someone trust worthy to call if you get into trouble or need someone to converse with.

I love acid except for the down ime/recovery from bad shit. Shrooms were a better experience and clen. The yawn the peak.....

Acid was the second drug i ever did (weed being the first). It was a fun experience, though i think it may have been funner had i not been in a pitch black room all night paranoid that i would wake up my mum.
