Unless you have a dremel with and small sanding bit, I would say avoid doing it.
You'll break your pipe and be pissed.
Smoke less in the bowl if you don't want a constant cherry.

Peace.

If you're working with glass, work slow. And I mean really slow. So slow you can't even stand it. You'll get through that glass eventually.

I can't tell you how much glass I've broken trying to drill through it too quickly. Not only do you lose whatever you were working on, but it's also a major morale killer.

This.
Also, sprinkle some water over the glass to cool it as you SLOWLY and GENTLY drill.

Peace.

i would say try to work a tiny bit through it with a dremel being careful to keep it cool until you have a suitable place to drill, then go to home depot and buy a glass drill bit. drill through slowly under a flow of water to keep the glass cool...

Why not just drill all the way through with a diamond bit in the dremel under a constant stream of water?

Just listen to them, OKAY?!

Go slow, gently, and slightly cold water is a good idea, as well.

GO.

SLOWLY.

It is so easy to crack glass, and make it shatter.

you have to weigh the benefits man, it might be time to pick up a cheap piece with a carb instead of drilling.

By the way, a Dremel is spinning way too fast for this. You need to use some sort of adjustable speed drill at very low RPM. I'm sure if you have a Dremel you probably have one around your house.
