so i did ecstasy for the first time tonight, and it was really disappointing. i got it from a friend, who did the same one and said it was great. i have no reason to believe he sold me bunk shit. anyways, i felt really happy, but it was a mellow happy, more like an opiate high. i was really expecting more. now im coming down and it sucks. i feel really sad and whatnot. i expected the comedown, but also expected a better high to make it worthwhile.

was it probably a bammer pill? (the happiness could have been placebo, but i was a pretty strong feeling at some points so i dunno) or maybe cause i had it on a full stomach? i dont really know that much about it, so any help would be appreciated. thanks

'Tripple stack' is bullshit marketting. Also sometimes friends bullshit and say they're higher than they are (wishful thinking? who knows.) IMO best bet is molly. I've had some good pills but most of my really good times with E have been with gelcaps. Though I did the whole socializing thing and eventually met a dealer who tended to have consistently good shit. Obviously one isn't going to know a whole lot of E dealers if it's their first time, and they aren't otherwise a part of the whole rave thing.

I don't know about neurotransmitters. Coke works on dopamine, and MDMA works primarily on serotonin (though it works on dopamine as well, though to a lesser degree.) If they both worked on the same system I'd say it might be the case that your dopamine system is fucked or something... but in some instances it could have the opposite effect, and make make coke more noticable due to the huge spike in dopamine that's likely to occur? I don't know this for a fact, I could just imagine a person with low dopamine getting really addicted to the surge in dopamine from coke or meth or something. Though I don't actually know, my knowledge of neuroscience doesn't go very far beyond bullshit mainstream 'pop science' level.

I don't think both your dopamine and serotonin systems should be so fucked up, though. I would think either one or the other, since they tend to sort of balance or compensate for each other, from what little I know about this very complicated topic.

Brain chemistry in general is tricky. Even if someone knew what they were talking about (unlike me) they wouldn't be able to give you much clarification on your individual neurochemistry or whatever.

Get a really trustworthy dealer and try it a couple more times. If it still doesn't work, try pre-loading with 5HTP (serotonin precursor) and see if it makes any difference in your roll.

but what pisses me off is that (with the coke and e) is that i got the bad feelings strongly without the good. if i have a high tolerance as Manson216 said, shouldnt i not get the comedown that much?
