Should I tell this girl I like her
-> We met online through a local social networking site about half to 3/4 of a year ago.
-> I guess we "clicked" and we talked for at least a few hours a day for a couple of months.
-> She lives far away (not that far but enough to make it difficult to see each other, and I know I said local social networking site but the members aren't necessarily from the main big city, some people join from surrounding cities/towns, as is the case with her) so our conversations were online. We have never met in person.
-> She was the first girl I really liked (sure I've liked others but that was cause they had a nice rack).
-> When summer rolled around, we stopped talking cause she was barely online due to work, hanging out with friends, and other things. We may have spoken 2 or 3 times throughout the whole summer (beginning of July to end of August).
-> When the school year started again, we talked once in a while but not like how we did when we first met. Not only were our conversations shorter but also not as fun.
-> From September till now, we talked sometimes but like I said, there was no spark. Maybe it was the long summer break with minimal contact, or maybe it was something else. Last time we spoke was a few days ago, but it was bland and it didn't really flow.
-> I still like her. I've liked her from pretty much day one. I think about her and what could've been. I highly doubt she feels the same I do though. When we do talk, she talks about dates she's been on, or guys she likes. Although, over the summer, I complained to her that we hardly spoke and she said the Internet isn't the only means of communication (I had her number but only called once before). So my only guess is that she might've had an interest in me but it declined.
-> I've never actually told her I liked her, but I'm sure it must've been obvious to her there was something between us.
My question is, would there be a point in me telling her that I like her? It would give me the satisfaction of knowing that she knows. But it might also be kinda random, seeing as we seldom speak anymore. And even if I told her, I'm kinda guessing nothing will happen between us due to the distance and her not having an interest anymore. Not to mention it could make things awkward between us and it may be even harder for us to speak afterwards. But since I don't really have anything to lose, should I go for it?
(And since this was/is a purely online thing, some of you may ask how I know she's not somebody else. She is well known on the social networking site. She often posts on the forums there and has even met the admin. I've also seen a ton of pics, her facebook, and she went on cam a few times.)

Re: Should I tell this girl I like her
Honestly I don't put too much faith in online relationships and I considered this might be a troll post for a few seconds but you have me convinced, this is real.
You really don't have anything to lose. Try talking to her and mentioning that you want to talk to her seriously. Just let her know that you really enjoyed the talks you two used to have and how you guys clicked. If she feels the same way it could turn into more but you're not losing out on anything by keeping quiet.

The only..........problem I guess is the sheer randomness. It's almost as if I'm coming out of nowhere and saying I like her. It seems like the optimum time to do this would've been when we still had fun talking. Now things are almost dead.

Re: Should I tell this girl I like her
If she lives a ways away, what's the harm in telling her? You said the conversations haven't been the same; at worse, they'll be at the same level of shittiness. At best, she'll confess her feelings too.
Go for it. Life's too short to pussy out.
Plus it's the internet. As totse has taught me, everyone's brave when they're not face to face with someone.

Re: Should I tell this girl I like her
Lulz, it's easier saying, "It's only the internet" when it's not you, but fuck, if you text them regularly, phone calls, you can't exactly just forget about them.
Yes, something like that happened to me, ended lulzy. I still get the odd text that says "you're afraid of love", and I text back, "lolk" then she says, "u always use sarcasm, im nt texting u anymore".
That lasts for about a day.
