What's the name of the removable bowl piece on my water bong.

I just dropped the fucker and it broke.....and i don't want to look like a dumbass and not know what it's called when i go to get a replacement.
I just got the bong a week ago.....
maybe i should get 2 or 3 replacements just in case.

Two things come to mind. A regular "slide" or "slider" or "stem" for a "tobacco waterpipe"
Don't use the word "bong" in a headshop; you'll get funny looks or no service if the people are dicks.

the one near me is getting its Christmas supply together already... they received a huge shipment of zongs... and since i last went in they have a couple more entire cabinets full of pipes...

yeah just called em and they are $9 a piece. Pretty reasonable.

This never happens to me. Not being rude, just wondering why, I always refer to bongs as bongs and stuff in my local headshops.

Yeah i said bong and he didn't care. The dude loooked kewl as fuck though and like he even smokes weed.

He has never checked my license.

I've been to 2 headshops here in Chicago and they both told me the same thing:
"We don't sell bongs here. Only tobacco waterpipes. Bongs are illegal. Please refer to them as waterpipes cuz if you say bong I can't sell to you." For those in town & in the know, this was at secrets and at sweet-tooth. It's bullshit IMO.

here's a lesson in common sense: don't put a very cold slider under hot water to try to clean it

make sure you clean and bring the old one in (if you still have it) to make sure you get the right size as there are several different diameters.

Noone has ever Id'd me.I used to buy salvia when I was thirteen...... I've never said bong at that headshop but the people who work there say it all the time.

When I dropped my first slide, only the handle part broke off. I proceeded to put a hole in a bottle cap and push the slide through to the rubber o-ring. I now own a nifty gravity bong cone piece. I just place it on top of any properly modified bottle and I'm good to go. I've never burned myself grabbing it by the bottle cap part.

Before I had the chance to get a new slide, we got a little desperate and tried to use it without the handle anyway. We had to slide it out with something like a lighter and then grab it by the o-ring but not touch any of the glass. That shit is difficult to do right sober, let alone stoned. After using my torch lighter on it, I couldn't even get my fingers near that thing it was so damn hot. I remember at one point when it was hot like this, I just pushed the lighter against it and flung the thing out in the air as I finished cashing it.

Needless to say, we were pretty happy when I finally got a new one.

Keep the slide wrapped in a towel when you're not using it. That's what I do now, and it's worked so far.

I've been to shops where they kick you out at one mention of the word bong. The head shop I go to in my town is pretty cool about it though.
