So i was in my local head shop and I was planning to get some salvia. I took a look behind the counter and saw some spice gold and that reminded me that myweed source was out of town for the weekend...so I decided to buy some spice gold with it. So I ask the guy for my stuff and he says "You know, If you were going to roll up the spice you could probably mix the two." I said "really?" and he replied "yeah it would take you longer to come up from the salvia and it would last longer too" this sounded pretty cool to me and I imagine mixing it w/ weed wouldnt be very different...anyone tried this? opinions?

I have, actually. Yes, it takes a while longer to come up with the Salvia. Something like two minutes.

When I did it, I actually got to throw out my improvised bong and then come back in the house before I collapsed and tripped balls for like 15-20 minutes but the first 5-10 minutes seemed like a fucking eternity.

After, depending on if you smoke a lot of weed or just a bit, you'll just be really stoned and will probably fall asleep and have trippy dreams.

I've always accepted this as a fact but never known the reasoning behind it. I know you supposedly need a very high temperature to release the Salvinorin A, but I've successfully used a regular utility lighter, and I've seen people on here report that Bics worked for them.

So if temperature isn't necessarily a factor, and the joint will burn regardless, why do you have to use a piece?

Is it because pieces (especially bongs) deliver bigger hits than the smaller puffs of a joint? Making it far easier to hold in the required amount of smoke for that excruciatingly long, yet recommended, 30 seconds? I'm thinking holding in a few big hits makes you break through, while holding in small hits would just give you subtle, weird effects that exhibited much less intensity. This would be because you couldn't hold in the large volume of smoke you need for a long enough amount of time.

Is my thinking correct or am I just way off?

Yeah, basically, you can use a pipe, although most people use a bong or bubbler to make the smoke less harsh, since (well, as you stated) to get the best effects, you hold the smoke in longer.

You usually want to hold a hit in somewhere around 30 seconds, although I wouldn't be too technical about it. You can feel it, and you will begin to recognize how much is enough.

High quality salvia extracts in a joint is awesome. The weed enhances the salvia and the salvia enhances the weed. The type of high you can get with this is so interesting. Best on a dark night with stars or moonlight. Great for exploring the mind.

The smoke won't be nearly as harsh if you use a high quality extract cause it won't take much of the salvia leaf if it's high potency and high quality.

Salvia is schedule 1 in North Dakota. I know people who live in Minnesota that could have it shipped to their place, but I don't think I'm gonna bother with that.

That's a shame. I just rolled a joint of salvia leaf and sativa bud. It's pretty nice.

I AM thinking it is kind of a waste to smoke your saliva in a joint becasue like some one b4 me said it needs to be burned really really hot most only use a torch lighter with it but a bic will work just smoke the shit in a bowl and keep the lighter on it at all times

You can easily break through(ego death) from a salvia joint and a regular bic lighter if the extract is potent enough. High quality extract plus water cured sativa would be interesting.

I think a bong is insignificant if your extract is clean and high quality/high potency. I'd go with a pipe if I wanted ego death.

cant get salvia extract or salvia here in australia it shit they banned heaps of importable plants how ever we can still get datura lol that was one weird 4 days probably wont do that again any way doesnt salvia make you drool??
