edit: Found out they were APAP butalbital caffeine. What's it do.

So these are actually good then? I got on a pill identifier when I got home and found out they were APAP butalbital caffeine. Some of them apparently have coedine in them too, but I don't think these are the kind. What exactly does this do, erowid isn't helping.

Butalbital is a barbituate, a very weak one at that as pointed out by N0Warning. Barbituates are the 'original' downers before benzos came along and pretty much replaced them for frontline treatment. I wouldnt pay for them if thats what you mean by 'good', but if you found them might as well just pop them.

Yeah, I don't think 250 mg of Butalbarb will do much more than make you drowsy, which will likely be somewhat- albeit not much- offset by the 200 mg of caffeine involved as well.

They use that shit for tension headaches and/or migraines because the combination of the barbiturate, caffeine, and a weak analgesic like acetaminophen is particularly effective at treating those type of headaches. That's also the reason why Excedrin contains caffeine in it.

I don't recall how strong butalbarb is compared to phenobarb but I know I would usually have to take (at least) 180-240 mg of phenobarb to get myself properly sedated and sloppy. Never really enjoyed phenobarb much, though, unless I was mixing it with benzos, which I did, and I don't recommend at all that you or anyone else do...

Seconal, on the other hand...I sure could do with running into a few of those again, somehow. Won't happen, though.

Is there any company still producing them? The best barbituate I ever had the pleasure of running into was pentobarbital a couple years ago. Forgot what the dose was, but it do remember it had me properly fucked up.

The ones I managed to obtain had been locked away for a number of years by someone who was once prescribed them and basically forgot of their existence until quite some time later. Expired? Shit, they worked just fine for me, that's for sure...
