Soma W/D
I'm having a hard time finding info on Soma's dependence and withdrawal likely hood and severity. I try to stagger my drug use to avoid tolerance build up (though cross-tolerance still occurs to an extent). Basically I try to cram as many opiates into my system as possible to slow down the development of tolerance, but today for a change I'm taking only soma (usually i've always done an opiate with it). I've gone though at least 2 grams of soma today because I wasn't getting any effects and kept taking more, but then I had a very small amount of spirits (2-3mL) and my face went numb like what happens when you get very drunk (I don't drink much though). Thirty minutes later I've got a general body numbness which is nice (there's a potential for vast savings on alcohol here).
So my question is this, does soma have euphoric effects on it's own, because to me its seems that it's only good at potentiating other CNS depressants. I've gone though half a pack of 50 350mg pills in 2 weeks so I might have a tolerance, and I do remember being pretty fucked up when I first tried it (mostly a body high, and a mental apathy). So do I need to taper the dose down since this has pretty much been a daily habit? I think I'm starting to feel subtle withdrawal when I havn't dosed for 4-5 hours. My opiate usage is usually codeine 250mg 2 or 3 times within 4 days (sometimes darvocet or dihydrocodeine instead), then 200-300mg tramadol three of four times within 3 days, then 2 cups of poppy seed tea 1 or 2 times within 2-3 days.
So anyway the withdrawal could be from either . What do you think?

Re: Soma W/D
soma WDs suck man. I used to pop them like candy until one day when i popped 16 and nothing happened then 16 more and got no effect, they have major tolerance build up extremely fast

Re: Soma W/D
Personally I don't think Soma has any euphoric qualities. It can give you a buzz though, it's like a weak shorter lasting valium or something. Anyhow, I think the best way to minimize tolerance would be to wait a week between dosing on the particular substance atleast.
I think your tolerance could be coming from the poppy seed tea (switch to pods), possibly the withdrawal too. Just take a break from all the opiates. If you want to feel high from a reasonable amount of Soma, stop doing them for awhile/taper.

Re: Soma W/D
So basically I need about 7 different types of drugs if I'm going to be high every day (smoking weed every day doesn't count for me). Thanks for the advice. Now that I'm no longer saturated with chemicals I can see that opiates made up at least 60% of my intake, although I was popping soma nearly every day as well. I havn't had anything today and luckily no withdrawals, so If I can just get my ope use down to once every 4-7 days and not be stupid with the soma I'll be laughing! Maybe it's time for me to cook up a brew of ayuasca or something psychedelics always set me straight.

Re: Soma W/D
Well, let me put it this way, and make of it what you will: My Dr won't prescribe me for Soma because of their addiction potential. But he writes me out a script for 200 10mg hydrocodone and 90 60mg morphines each month.

Re: Soma W/D
Wish I had your doctor :P His/her unwillingness to prescribe soma might be because it can potentiate opiates and from my experience hugely potentiate alcohol? I mean it might get hold of you physically, and tolerance may develop waaay to fast, but it's not really fun on its own and i reckon all the good experience reports are from first times, and first times are always the best. Although it makes me feel ok when i'm a bit stressed out. bit like benzos.

I could be wrong here but I don't suspect that someone on a daily regimen of roughly 70 mg of hydrocodone and 180 mg of morphine is drinking very much alcohol.

Re: Soma W/D
what the fuck classification of drugs is soma and secondly how do the withdrawls compare to that of opiates/opoids?
