Who else here is sick and tired of those ad banners on totse that say shit like "Congratulations! You've won 2 free iPod nanos"? I'm especially annoyed by the "windows alert" box ones that continuously play the windows alert chord sound. How do we get rid of them? (or at least block them in firefox).

Adblock Plus for Firefox, or just put up with them if you use some other browser. Or just turn your sound off. I dunno.

I haven't seen one of the talking ones on totse in a week or so, but the one that I keep seeing at the top of the forum log in page shows a windows dialogue box that says congratulations and keeps playing the Windows XP error sound over and over and over again.

no idiots, to block them with firefox you simply go to tools > options > content and then turn off java and javascript. unfortunately you cannot watch youtube vidoes while browsing totse and doing this. it does work though and you can listen to shit in windows media player. cut that bitch off.

And there is absolutely ZERO obligation for anyone to "read before you post" on this or any other website....so quit whining about having to DO YOUR FUCKING JOB. I use Remove It Permanently, a Firefox extension. It's great because you can choose specifically what you want to get rid of, even if it's not an ad. I haven't seen an ad here in ages thanks to it.

I just use Adblock. You could also try posting in the right forum, too. Moving to B&M.

I don't get any audio ads and dont use any adblocking stuff. Guess the ads targeted to Australia are different.
