While I was smoking I started feeling realy high and I had only smoked about a half of a cone (I was smoking a cone for the first time). I had felt this stoned before but it was different I started to get real nervous there was a long silince in the car which felt real wierd since we are real good friends we talk all the time so I started tring to make small talk and said something to him and he said something and I couldnt understand him. Then I started freaking out thinking I was losing my mind or something I had to ask my friend if this was the right interstate ramp to get off and it was completly lit up. so then he went into best buy that is when I realized that I had smoked some fucking dank weed I started thinking everyone was watching me and staring at me and became real parinod. So my friend finally got back to the car and we went to meet my other friend john at wallmart at this point I didnt want to be high anymore when we met up with john I started getting cold and it was like 80 in the car I had the heat blairing and 2 jackets on I was freezing my ass off at this point I told john and chris I was having a bad trip after about another hour I finally started coming down anyway what the fuck is wrong with me could I just not handle that weed or what

I almost always find that the first 20 to 30 minutes of being up consists of adjusting to the new reality. Things, even the simplest things, can seem hard to understand. After I get used to it all being...new? Things begin to be the right size again & to fit together like they should...

Without reading this thread, I'll contribute my only bad experience with the herb:

I was smoking a shitload of mid/high-grade (about a an 8/10) along with a constant flow of cigarettes between me and my friend. After a while, I thought that my stomach felt weird. Knowing that thinking about it would only make it worse, I tried to push it out of my head.

This obviously didn't work.

So, beginning to feel sick, I ask my friend if we can go outside and get some air. As soon as we're on the porch, I slouch down against the wall and just sorta dry-heave for a few minutes. Paranoid that we got some laced shit, it only felt worse.

After a few minutes of me rocking back in forth, trying to vomit, we go back inside. For the first time in my life, I wanna come down, so I eat half of a fucking cake, then go home to sleep it off.

Midway through the ride home, I feel fine, and get really pissed because I acted like a bitch, mainly because I let paranoia get to me.

Fuck. :(

Yep. I used to have intense experiences which could easily be called a "trip", or a "mild" trip if you don't feel up to it expanding your perceptions.

I used to make it a type of ritual that I would experience the uncovering of one extremely old memory during a marijuana high, which would usually shock me into realizing why a certain aspect of my personality or life is the way it is and where I should go next. Very much like an introspective shroom, lsd, or externally administered dmt experience, when in positive light, just without a lot of the disco.

Marijuana is also classified as an intoxicant, stimulant and depressant. In regular definition, a "trip" is limited to a pure psychedelic such as LSD or mushrooms. Weed doesn't have enough psychedelic power to produce a trip. Its in the same way low doses of LSD or mushrooms won't produce a trip either, but will most definately give you effects.
