Default hmmm

So I called the guy back about hanging out this week, and I hade suggested playing a friendly game of ping-pong or going to lunch to keep it simple. However, he asked me to go to dinner on Tuesday. My question is, is that a little more serious? It seems like it has the potential to be. Was he taking a step or is it still friendly?

He wants to drug you, throw you in his trunk, tie you to his dog, and rape you until your anus bleeds some odd fusion of shit, blood, semen, and dog drool.

Haha I followed you up until the "tie you to his dog" part. Hey by the way where in Montana do you live? I used to live in Billings and still have family up there.

So basically he has no idea what to do when a girl asks him to hang out, prepare for a wuss buying you dinner while staring akwardly at each other because he's to damn nervous.

Nice.

Lol we've hung out before, so I don't think it will be that bad, but I think he's wondering where this is going as well. I don't think he thought I would actually call him when he said to :)

I wouldn't date this guy if I was you. He took your cool suggestion of playing ping pong and instead went for the boring classic "dinner"

So not only do you have a guy that takes charge in order to make something a whole lot fucking lamer, you're going to be sitting there in that cliche of a date freaking out over how serious it is.

Let's look at the pro's of each yeah.

Ping Pong:
Is a fun game.
Doesn't restrict talking.
Fills any natural gap in conversation smoothly.
Will raise your heart rate. (serotonin?)
Help associate each other with a fun time.
You can go for fastfood before or after.
Usually costs next to nothing.

Dinner
Doesn't restrict Talking.
You can eat...

I think my point is, this guy sounds pretty lame.

I'm going to have to disagree.

I think it's obvious that Ping Pong is a very lame attempt at having a non-traditional "cool" date, and because it's just that obvious...and everyone who walks by will take notice at how gay you are.

Dinner is definitely the way to go. She's in college now, not middle school-- there shouldn't be awkward conversation gaps. Just don't go to an actual restaurant, go to Panera Bread... I know their food is pretty bad, but I think it's an ideal setting for a first date. Light dinner, coffee, fancy chairs and a fireplace. The whole purpose of the experience is to get to know each other. Ping Pong won't do that.

What are you talking about? I always have deep conversations with my ping pong partners.

Dinner is so cliche though. Anyone that walks by will know that it's a date. It will only be us two at the table! Ping pong looks more subtle and allows you to have fun. I don't see what's so lame about that? Lame is using the usual scenario. Plus, like a month ago he asked me to play pool so I used a different table game.

So first you're complaining that he's not making it obvious whether he wants to date you or be friends with you, and now you're complaining that he's being too obvious whether he wants to date you or be friends with you.

Why do you need to be covert? What does it matter if someone notices...?

Because casanova sai taht anyone that walks by while we are playing ping pong will notice... it's the same with dinner. It's not that there would be a problem, it was just to prove a point. And I'm not complaining, I just want to know which one he's going for - friendship or dating - because I don't want to look like a fool. And I don't know how to bring that up or get it out of him.

How often do you have dinner out one-on-one with your male friends?

Dont go for ping pong, man.

Whenever I play ping pong I get so competitive that if the other person wins I want to rip out his/her heart.

Well, I've made the decision for you that you will be in the Totse Calendar. Cool

I've also made the decision that your preferred month is July.

And that you will take a July-themed pic of yourself, and send it to agent008t@gmail.com in the next two weeks.

Oh, and if you decide to change your decision not to make any decisions, you can decide to switch July for either March or May. :o

He asked you to play pool. He asked you to dinner. He's made it clear he wants to date you. Go out, and make sure you kiss at the end of the night.
