So basically I can't get high on the weekends because that's the only time I can see my gf. The times I have done it my friends are usually the ones to get some. But I was thinking I could just ask them to hook me up, and then I could make a shitty pipe or learn how to roll and just go biking and smoke after school.

But why is smoking alone looked on as negative? My friends think its something you should only do with other people and when there isn't anything else to do. But I think if I did it on my own a couple days a week it would really help my sleep and relax, not to mention just getting high.

I smoke weed alone. its not a problem if youre alone after school and have nothing to do so you smoke. it becomes negative when you stop going out with your freinds to sit in your moms basement and smoke blunts.

I don't think it's negative I smoke alone usually every week night around 10 PM and every morning around 8. I remember making the transition like you, from smoking when others got it to doing it independently. i do it to melt away the tension from the day and make it easy to go to sleep, plus have a little fun, do the normal weed shit alone, laugh at youtube and eat some delicious munchies, then pass out to some crappy TV.

Just go to a head shop and drop whatever you can on a pipe, my first one was 5$ because I was reluctant about becoming a stoner, got the job done for a while and was kinda like training wheels, real concealable and shit.

Its been a while since i smoked weed, but i used to smoke alone quite a bit....

Some people look at it like a social activity... but i loved smoking, and i don't always like to be around people... so i tend to do things i like by myself.... just dont get into that mindset of staying home to get high instead of being with friends. When any drug starts to take priority over family and friends your doing something too much....

Honestly I prefer smoking alone. When I smoke I like to just sit back and read or fuck around online and listen to music. I smoke with other people all the time, but nothing beats sitting back at your desk with a fat bowl and some good music and smoking it slowly over the course of a couple hours. I'm kinda a solitary person by nature though, and weed affects me differently than a lot of people. Most kids I've smoked with are like "lets go get mcdonalds and watch south park" afterwards and I'm like "I'm gonna read about pharmacology".

People associate taking any sort of drug by yourself with being depressed or addicted because of the stereotype of the lonesome drunk. Alcohol is a very social drug for most people, and people constantly parrot bullshit about how drinking alone is a "sign of alcoholism". While hardcore alcoholics might drink alone because nobody wants to get shitfaced at 2:00 on a tuesday with them, just drinking alone has nothing to do with alcoholism if you ask me.

I don't see anything wrong with taking drugs alone, in fact some of my best and most revealing experiences with hallucinogens have just been me walking around in the woods with an MP3 player thinking about life. Hell, even sitting back with a glass of Wild Turkey 101 on the rocks after a long day and just relaxing is very enjoyable once in a while. Having other people around would just be disruptive and irritating when I just want to relax.

Yea, I have to agree with everyone else on this one. Just because you toke alone does NOT mean that you're "addicted" or "depressed" or whatever. Pretty much all of my friends that smoke weed smoke alone when no one else is around. But like Stoned Snippy, just get a cheap pipe from a headshop (don't even need an actual bowl, a one hitter will do you good when yer just starting out). But do however be prepared to start liking it more and probably start toking more often, not that that's a bad thing though. I love smoking weed, and when you smoke weed alone when you have nothing to do, it really makes everything else a lot more fun.

Go ahead, get a piece (go for a one hitter, they're pretty cheap and MAD easy to conceal), get some buds (just get a dime), and toke up whenever you want. And if you toke someone else up, make sure they pay you back in some form or another (they smoke you up, pay you some money, whatever).

the only time i would get worried about smoking alone is if you start blowing off friends/obligations inorder to get high. then you might have a problem.

I like smoking alone better. When I smoke I get really introverted and like to spend time thinking about my life. When I have people I have to talk to when I'm really lit it just gets annoying. Smoking alone has its advantages and disadvantages just like smoking with people. I'd say I like smoking with people just a little bit better, but smoking alone can be great too. I agree that if you're a bit more solitary, drugs can definetely be enjoyable by yourself.

I smoke most of my weed alone, I don't think theres anything wrong with it. If I'm by myself and want to get high I'm not going to not toke up just because no one else is around. That said, smoking weed alone a lot has probably helped fuck me over in some ways. :(

Smoking alone is cool sometimes, cause then you don't have any motherfucks torching your bowl and wasting all your good green. But I tend to enjoy smoking with someone else, but someone who is not a mooch and will match or get me back sometime.

When I'm high the last thing I want to do is engage in pointless and lengthy banter. I typically find that smoking with other people can sometimes be a real buzzkill, I just like to smoke and kick back and let my mind wander without distraction.

that sounds about right. smoking with other people is overrated, imo..i have no problem being alone with my thoughts so i love to toke by myself.... i think smoking with big groups of people is fun, but usually your more worried about piling into a car for some mcdonalds, instead of advancing your perception of this incredible existance.

I prefer smoking with friends who are also high, but it's not a necessity, and nor do I look down upon smoking alone. I do it myself, mostly to help me sleep, but also if I'm just bored and there's nothing else to do. As others have said, it only begins becoming problematic when your smoking interferes with your social life. Toke up by yourself, and enjoy, but remember, (good) friends come before drugs.

this is what i do every day, going on for a couple of months. i wake up around 8pm smoke, search thepiratebay for some movies start the torrents, go to work at 10:30pm, get of work at 6am smoke, watch the movies, go to sleep, you dont want to end up like me.. but yeah, smoking by yourself is fine. plus i got a massive movie collection for free.

I tend to smoke alone as much as I smoke with other people. Both are good for different reasons.
When your with other people, it's like a friendship thing, for me at least. I find that I have had some very meaningful conversations with people I know while sharing a joint.

But, I like smoking alone because it gives me time to just sit and unwind by myself. Plus, I love getting high as fuck, putting on headphones, and just listening so some awesome music. I can't really do that when hanging out with other people.

I'm an outcast so yes I typically do smoke alone, I find it more enjoyable than smoking with supposable "friends."

I'm just one of those people that have friends that come and go. So I just fly solo.

I work the weekends second shift. I don't get out of work until midnight or later and I can't do anything seen as how I'm only 17, so I just go home and smoke a couple bowls. I still smoke socially after school though.

I didn't read the 4 pages of this shit fest. But as much as no one likes to admit it, weed is not a social drug. I'd rather drink as a group then smoke as one any day of the week. I don't really smoke much anymore but when I did...I much preferred smoking by myself.

Lets face it... All drugs are selfish. Just because you have drugs with other people doesn't mean you did it for them. You did it for your own buzz, doing it with friends is just an excuse to do it...

I recently quit after 7 years of smoking. People say it cant fuck you up but it sure did me... i dunno i was always so paranoid and shit. Im 21 btw. I dont see the problem with smoking alone though I would do it all the time. In fact id do it more alone when I was bored. To all his own my friend.

Being really baked in public is one of the most fun things you can do. I love it, especially getting baked before going on a bus, or sitting in the canteen at college barely able to talk cos you're so monged out.
